Ratt on the Out of the Cellar tour...Opener was Bon Jovi. 1984

It is time to admit that we used to rock like hurricanes. It is time to run for the hills and go round and round. It is time for us to shout at the devil. We've got the right to choose it, there ain't no way we'll lose it, and we're not gonna take it anymore.

That's awesome ! Here's a high five for Hendrix. Other favorites for me were: The Dead, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Pink Floyd and Hot F*ckn' Tuna !
Yeah, $5 to see Jimi--remember how cheap shows used to be?! And we never thought twice about the fact that we were seeing Hendrix. Who would have guessed he'd be dead 5 months later? That was before all the rock stars started to die young and tragically.
I envy you seeing Hot Tuna. Wow! One of my faves!
The Traffic show that I saw in June 1970 is still in my top 10 concerts of all time. I saw Traffic 3 times when I was in high school/college. My husband saw Blind Faith in Maryland in 1969, the concert that he says made him decide to become a musician. And now we're going to see Steve Winwood open for Tom Petty in Dallas tomorrow night. I hope I never get tired of going to shows.
Paul Butterfield and Mike Bloomfield . I was 6 , in 1965, and leaving me home alone wasn't an option. The first show I went to and enjoyed was The Monkees in August, 1967. Little did I suspect that the opener, The Jimi Hendrix Experience , was the real attraction.

since then I've seen Pearl Jam, R.E.M., Megadeth, Tom Petty, Rush, Stone Temple Pilots, In Flames, Children Of Bodom, Type O Negatve, and a bunch more those were just the big ones for the most part.
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Primus was the headliner Buckethead and Incubus opened. I will never forget walking in and seeing a guy in a mask with a KFC bucket on his head playing guitar. It was quite the first live act to see.
'84....Big Bam Boom concert tour for Hall and Oates at the legendary Joe Louis Arena.

since then, ive only seen 1 other concert, maroon 5 & counting crows, which was great! i'd like to see so many more live shows, but being a 16 year old who cant drive & is almost completely broke makes this awfully difficult. i CANT WAIT for college in 2 years where i can finally go to more concerts! nothing beats a live show!
Did she play Shake It Off? If so, you're ok in my book.

Red Hot Chili Peppers in Nijmegen (Netherlands), June 2007. Well, actually the first concert was a rapper, who was opening for them. He got boo-ed of the stage, everyone was throwing stuff at him. It really was a short first concert, but I found it really amusing at that time :P. The crowd gave me a bad example how to behave at a concert . (but okay, maybe it wasnt really smart to take a rapper as opener, when people are coming for a rockconcert)
My first show was The Who with Jethro Tull and John Cougar at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado. October 17, 1982. Tickets were 16 bucks. Also my first view of live boobies. I was offered heroin and cocaine in the bathroom. A random girl spilled beer on me as I was walking around the stadium and another random girl wanted to kick her ass for it. John Couger was booed. I was 13.
first chaparoned concert: SHA NA NA (I'm not joking here). Sometime in the early 80's with parents in New Haven, CT.
first unchaparoned concert: Poison/David Lee Roth - the Skyscraper tour; New Haven, CT. DLR even rode a surfboard suspended from the rafters right over my head.

glad to know im still worthy of an ounce of respect:]
I was 14. All I can remember are solo's and a stench that I wasn't familiar with at the time but I've grown very familiar with now.
