No, no, no, DirtyT. You are mixed up with the WHAM! reuinion tour. They served this really nice cherry vodka. It tasted great, but it made my asshole bleed the next morning............

worst live band? megadeth, without a doubt. terrible. just terrible. avoid at all costs!
smashing pumpkins come a close second. miserable gits... 15 minutes of feedback isn't a great way to start your encore. however, 15 minutes of feedback is a great way to thin the crowd out early.
1) Wu-Tang Clan 1996/97ish. I was and still am a Wu-tang fan. They're about the only rap group I can tolerate. I was highly disappointed with the show. We basically booed them of the stage. The only saving grace for that was Rage came out and played for an hour and a half straight and killed it. That's with Zack having broken his ankle the night before and still hoping arond like a mad man.
2) Puddle of Mudd 2000-The only memory of this show that I have was the drummer breaking his drum stick, tossing it into the crowd, and it some how hitting my friend in the balls.
3) Ozzy 2000-I don't think it helped his cause that I had just seen Pantera right before he came on to close Ozzfest. He just mumbled. Left after 6 songs and I had center stage tickets 10 rows back.
4) Matchbox 20 2000/01-Long story that involved my friend, his sister, 7 of her very hot friends, and a limo. I was extremely intoxicated, thank god. They had someone shitty open for them too and for the life of me I can't remember. Just plain awful.
i'd probably say Danzig in 94, terribel. I have around 250 bands love, like I am sure many of yuo have, but as far as famous names go, that would be uo there.

1. Bob Dylan Summer 2005, Schaumburg, IL - He was really brutal, playing keyboards from the rear of the stage and sounding terrible. Willie Nelson opened the show and I gotta say, he was actually fantastic.
2. Hootie and The Blowfish 1995 maybe? - I let the little head do the thinking for the big head and if I remember correctly we both were disappointed that night.
3. U2 - 2004 or 2005 or 2006, cannot remember - my wife wanted to go, I bought two tickets in the fourth row from a reseller and we left about 2/3 through the show as I just couldn't take it any more.
4. Hermans Hermits - they played at the park across the street from my college apartment and the AC was broke....we were forced to keep the windows open and this was what we heard....humiliating if you ask me.
5. Cirque de Solie (sp) Beatles show - I hate the Beatles and again this was my wife's pick....paid hundreds of dollars for front row and kept vomitting in my mouth....I just didnt get the whole thing. Why did I go do you ask, because my wife was tired of watching me spend thousands on Rolling Stones and Pearl Jam tours that she asked to go see this and I happily obliged.
There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.
Judas Priest. Newport 1989...Blue Oyster bar anyone..?
Faster Pussycat, Pretty Boy Floydd. Cardiff the Point, a few years back...yukky.
Will Young. Cardiff. wifes birthday present...she insisted I went along....awful.
Bob Dylan. Cardiff 2005...ok, but just not up to the mark.
Bon Jovi. Donington MOR Festival 1987..sick bag please.
I found the Leather boyz with electric toyz LP by Pretty Boy Floyd in a skip years ago. Figured it might be worth something Should be gathering dust in the attic somewhere.

Why even go with your wife. Didn't she have a friend that could have taken her to these shows. I mean I'm in the third deck for U2 and I hear a guy in the fourth row left early because he couldn't take it anymore. Just shocking.
And that Beatles show kicked ass. My GF and I loved it. Next time you get your wife such amazing tickets to something you don't like PM me and I can escort her to the show.

1. 5.12.07- Dave Bazan (of Pedro the Lion)- opened for Ben Gibbard with an hour and a half whiny-ass set
2. 5.21.06- Depeche Mode- saw them from the lawn of a pavilion and left early
3. 10.13.07- Ryan Adams and the Cardinals- played almost no hit songs, and just wanted to jam with his band
4. 4.23.07- The Killers- i'm glad I saw them, but their stage presence cannot match their sound. Silver Beats, a Japanese Beatles cover band opened and they were awesome!
5. 9.6.06- Snow Patrol- wouldn't have been as bad if they hadn't been plagued with technical difficulties for the entire night

People like you ruined the Ryan Adams gig that I went to. He's not a performing seal you know. Read a setlist or two before you go next time. Don't go and then complain about not hearing anything off Gold. I was rather enjoying a particularly pretty new song that Ryan was playing solo on piano until the heckling finally pissed him off and he walked off and didn't come back. I don't blame him. Let him break out the hits when he's 60 and doing his Bigger Bang tour.

You sir have hit the nail on the head. When did they become so damn boring. The same goes for the Chili Peppers in my book.
I half agree but its not all the bands fault. I saw them in LA and San Jose and it was pretty cool but not as good as previous tours. But both of the crowds were LAME.
Then I saw them in November in Vegas and they played a more random setlist and had a hot crowd. Maybe the loudest crowd I've ever heard for a show. And they were amazing.
But they should def mix it up more with there songs.

I didn't say you ruined my show. I said people with your mentality did. If you don't like what he does live, that's a shame. Don't expect him to play for you individually though. 1. Col. Claypool’s Bucket of Bernie Brains (10-2-04) I dug Primus but this sounded nothing like them and me and my friend walked out halfway through his show.
2. Creed (8-26-00) Wasn't gonna go but i scored pit seats. Should have stayed home. Opening band i dug though, American Pearl (they had a song on the Scream 3 soundtrack).
3. ??? (11-9-02) I don't even remember the name of the band but it was them and 3 or 4 other bands and they opened up for Jerry Cantrell. One of the bands was Comes With the Fall (William DuVall's previous band) and the other was Mad at Gravity. But the band I can't remember were so bad that people were turning around and giving them the finger. Jerry didn't go on til after midnight that night.
4. Red Hot Chili Peppers (10-24-06) Saw them a few months earlier at a festival and they were enjoyable, this time w/Mars Volta (who I didn't really care for also) not so much. Plus i didn't like how the seats on the floor were set up (should have been GA/Pit)
5. Blink 182 (5-25-00) They weren't too bad, I just wasn't feeling them. Only reason I went was cause I won tix.

The New York Dolls in '09. The band sounded ok, but they just looked cheesy onstage. At one point during the show, David Johansen unbuttoned all the buttons on his shirt. I nearly barfed. No one needs to see that.
Luckily I haven't been to many bad shows. Most of the following were during college.
Oasis - Played just over an hour even though they headlined the show (forget who opened for them). Didn't seem like they wanted to be there...after seeing their set, I didn't want to be there either
Third Eye Blind - Jenkins sounded like he was being waterboarded while singing
Drake - at the first made in america that PJ headlined. Do not understand how anyone can like this act
GreenDay - Billy Joe kept asking the crowd 'are you ready?'. Yeah dude I'm ready, fucking play a song
Kings of Leon - 20,000 people singing Use Somebody made me sick to my stomach (their first two albums are tremendous, but of course they don't play many of those songs anymore). Felt like I was suffering through a Journey show with so many terrible ballads
Bonus - Dave Matthews Band - I have never seen them (you couldn't pay me to go), but the combination of their fans and terrible music leads me to believe this is the worst concert environment imaginable.
Bob Dylan ( in 2011?) was horrendous- awful music and barely went through the motions... I left halfway through ( if not a third of the way through). Horrendous.
Soundgarden in the QE Theater (Vancouver) was horrendous as well- sound problems in a venue noted for sound. Just stop the show and fix it already. At a bare minimum, slap the sound engineer who obviously was in a drunken stupor.
The Police in Vancouver. Reunion tour first show. Had to restart one song. Don't Stand So's jazzy version should never, ever be played again except in interrogation rooms. Food poisoning that night didn't make things better for me.
Counting Crows- it was in 2004 or 2005 maybe and they were playing with John Mayer...don't remember exactly when. They have some good albums, but they are awful live. Duritz's singing is all over the place...sings a different melody than the album version for just about every song. Painful to listen to.
Alice Cooper-Orlando Halloweenie Roast 2013-was boring Tim McGraw-WPB 2012 dude is in love w himself.scenery was nice though Maroon 5-I got talked into going. It was Horrible When my kids were young in the early 90s- the backstreet boys-Id rather have hot pokers jammed in my eye sockets.

I know it might be painful to dredge up the memories, but go ahead
and don't be embarrassed to admit if it was MC Hammer!
My bottom five:
Johnny Winter - about 25 years past his prime.
Husker Du - love the band, but the concert was painful.
Joe Satriani - OK, Joe, we get it. You're fast. Sidenote: audience was 99% male.
Black Crowes - a HUGE dissappointment but I still like them.
REM - although the 2nd time I saw them it was WAY better
nice! Someone bumped my 8 year old thread....
I'll bet if I went back, I would now dig the Husket Du and Crowes shows....they are two of my favorite bands.
I've heard the counting crows complaints but I've seen them twice....they were great and I'd see them again in a heartbeat.....but they can be a risk, from what I've heard.

i saw them, and all they did was stand there running through the motions, which was easy considering they play the same setlist every single night.
i get that they were huge in the late 80s/early 90s, but it's 2008 now and those songs deserve to either be played with some passion, or not at all.

Ratt - Loved them as a teenager, but their shows were/are canned.
Butthole Surfers - Lollapalooza I (The lead singer shot a shotgun during the song called.................Shotgun Love or something similar)
Cheap Trick - They once opened for Ratt and were 3 times the volume they needed to be.
Souixsie and the Banshees - Lolla I (WTF.... though it was the early 90's)
Everclear - Love their CDs hated the free show at the fair.
I guess that's 5
How about 3 favorite shows
Motley Crue/Whitesnake - Man it was a long time ago, but the Crue show is still the best I have ever seen.
Pearl Jam - Alpine Valley 2003 Listen to the bootleg you can hear me singing to Betterman along with the entire crowd... tingles down the spine.
