i just wanted to mention that bad religion were awesome last tuesday and they would have probably taken the no. 4 spot instead of lollapalooza but, i just had a great time at lollapalooza too and spent way too much money on beer and pizza that day... or just enough. pretty drunk the whole day.

Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
My disclaimer. I have seen a lot of shows. I mean a lot! It's not to brag but I have seen so many. One summer for example, out of 7 days, I would be at Great Woods aka Tweeter Center 6 nights!! I have also worked for a few years at the Orpheum in Boston in order to help with my concert addiction. my Top 5 is very hard to determine. My first concert was when I was in 8th grade and I haven't stopped yet. I my have slowed down over the years though. I really need a top 10 or 20 but here it is......
Pearl Jam- The Orpheum 4/12/94- This is what started it all for me.
Paul Simon- Worcester Centrum-Easter Sunday 1991. This was the tail part of the Graceland tour into the Rhythm of the Saints. Just a musical genius and an honor to have seen him perform.
NIN- Woodstock 1994-I barely had heard of them prior to this moment. I was just into another music scene at the time. But I have never looked back!!!!
The Police-7/29/07-Not that this is the best sounding show I have ever been to but just the sheer fact that I was able to see the POLICE, not Sting, was a dream come true.
Pearl Jam June 1995-Red Rocks, CO. It was my first real traveling experience for a show. Don't get me wrong. I had traveled for Phish and the Dead prior but no more than 4 hours driving. This was getting in a plane and going to another part of the country. That was an incredible experience.
Honorable mentions.......
The Toadies- Paradise Rock Club Feb 1995. They opened for Bush who was completely unknown at the time. Great great show. Amazing enegry and power.
The Presidents of the United States of America- 1996 sometime, I think at the Avalon. Just a down right fun show.
Soul Coughing-1996 opening for Dave Matthews Band. Started the decending love for Dave and the increasing love for Soul Coughing. If I ever meet Dave, I will tell him thanks for introducing me to such a wonderful band.
Mr Bungle- at Avalon, not sure the year. I have actually seen them twice. Both times I have been blown away. Mike Patton is a freak and I love him for it!
Tool-The Tweeter Center perhaps 1997 or 1998. Not sure which year. Just amazing show. The twirling people in the back ground, the visuals, it was really just WOW!
The VFC warm up shows as well as the 2006 shows were also very very special to me.
Blind Melon 10/07/07- Their 1st performace in 12 years. Yes there were sound issues, the lighting sucked as far as taking pictures. But the emotion and the energy in that one night is still with me and I do not see it going anywhere any time soon. I have never been somewhere in which the band and the crowd shared in something so personal as that night.
