I could see it bein a joke. Sarcasm doesnt come across on a computer every time. Definitely not the worst taste, but those are some pretty crazy bands for best shows. Even goin back and readin it, I chuckled a bit.

Well, it seemed like sort of a smartass comment...especially from someone listing a Cornell solo show from this year as one of his top five. ;)

Picking 5 will be near impossible, but I'll give it a shot. I will only put a band in once even if they may have had more than one top 5 worthy show.

    Pearl Jam, Orpheum Theater 1994
U2, Boston Garden 1987, Joshua Tree tour
Springsteen & E Street Band, 1984 Hartford Civic center, Born in the USA tour
The Who, 1982 Shea Stadium (The Clash opened)
    J. Geils Band, 1999 Paradise Theater Boston, "secret" surprise reunion tour warm up show.
    This weekend we rock Portland

its hard not to list this years Cornell performance as no 1. His spot on performance of many of my favorite songs plus seeing the show from so close - I'm still reeling in this show back in April. Its at least equal to the last time I saw PJ and Page/Plant.

I looked at Yellowbird's list and really didn't think he'd be serious.

no offense, I just saw Frampton, Urban and FOGELBURG and thought you were surely being funny. I guess they could be great shows. Now very intense, but thats not all that goes into a great show, right?

Pearl Jam, yes, if you ever get a chance..... well they certainly deserve their reputation.

STP 97 - That show was my "senior gift" from my mom. It was a couple days before graduation and I went with my girlfriend, best friend and MOM. We had such a blast. All that aside, they were my fav band at the time and they totally fucking rocked. Still the loudest show I've ever been to. And Wieland was the best, craziest front man I've witnessed.

Marshal Tucker Band - saw them once. Fall 00, in Ruidoso NM. Very nice show. I like some of their songs.

    Still reeling from April?? Wow!

I wasn't really all that moved by his performance. It was good, and I certainly enjoyed hearing some Soundgarden songs because I never got the chance to see them live...but it wasn't very memorable for me overall. Actually, what was memorable for me was all of the old people that were dressed way too young around me getting really drunk and dancing in a hilarious fashion. :D

I met a lot of cool people at the show. age range was pretty wide. I really like that the crowd just stood there and watched the show and didn't mosh. Some bitched about it, but I'm glad I actually got to fully enjoy the show. Best part of the crowd was that I was on the second row and this short, hot-ass, mexican girl was right in front of me. She bumped and grinded me through the whole show and leaned against my chest. She was really cute and my friend laughed about it for a while afterwards, cause we got sorta intense several times. The really sad part was her date was right beside her. Felt bad about that, but it was mostly her and we were crammed in so close,,,,

Anyway, it was one of the best shows I've been lucky enough to catch and getting my dick rubbed throughout was an interesting side note.

  • This is so hard! That's what she said. (too much Office for me!)

    1. Pearl Jam LA Forum 1- I read some haters on this show because of the similarities to the SD show, but being there you could tell from the effort Eddie and boys put out they viewed it as a big show. I think it was the speed the show sold out in a big market like LA had the boys pumped.

    2. Rage Against the Machine (November 1999 in Arco Arena Sacramento)

    3. U2 (MGM Arena November 2005)

    4. Radiohead (Coachella 2004)

    5. This is the difficult one but for now I'll say Velvet Revolver New Years Day @ the Joint in Vegas. Show was great, and Anna Nicole Smith flashed everyone from the Balcony. Mulitiple times. Best Celebrity story that I have honestly.
