i got that ^^ album after stumbling upon its universal acclaim as one of the best albums of 2007. i was thoroughly disappointed. i think it's a piece of shit. fucking music critics
that's unfortunate. the drums on that album are fucking addicting.
Are you too good to tango with the poor poor boys?
It might top my list this year. Very strong 2nd album, will see 'm live next month for the 1st time (can't wait).
Another I'd like to add: Our Love to Admire - Interpol.
you will not be dissappointed. Saw AM twice on this tour
GREAT live band-short set though, just over an hour and fifteen and no encore as usual. hope you get the mardy bum, thats the one song that been on and off the setlists in the states.
if it wasnt for the spoon and wilco records, that would be my record of the year (still digesting the new radiohead)

favourite of 2007 so far - tom mcrae: king of cards. ...just delicious.
and i have to add ...maybe this is cheating kinda, although it's a 2007 release they're not 2007 songs ...but i've been listening lots to elliott smith's 'new moon' ...as the replacements would say, sadly beautiful.
ive not heard the new interpol, though i really like the new editors.
The new Editors has some good songs on it, but as a whole I haven't digested it yet. The new Interpol has a dark majestic feel to it and I can't get enough of it. Might be cuz t deals a lot with the loss of love or the resentment of it that resonated with my frame of mind when it came out.
I really dig this quote about All Fired Up:
"Paul had once said that's supposedly the devil singing that song. Our keyboard player was learning it and he's like 'Damn, Paul, this is some Dante's Inferno shit, man. Should I be afraid of you?' "
- Sam (Real Detroit Weekly)
