yes they wwere very influential, but to put the existence of music on their heads is too much.
i doubt jimmy page and robert plant or ray davies were listening to the beatles when their taste and influences was being germinated. in fact i know they weren't.hear my name

But they were influential in more than just that way. The Beatles and let's be honest The Stones paved the way for Zepplin. Also recording styles. But There would have been music.
