I say there is no reason to kill this sucker. I don't think anyone wants to expend the same amount of emotional energy in it that we have in the last year or so, but thats no reason to call in Dr. Kevorkian. Just my opinion, but this thread should never die until PJ finally returns (whenever that may be) and we are able to post our thank yous and celebrate with virtual fireworks and a virtual drunken Bacchanalia. It wouldn't be the same to do all that with a different thread. Besides, the simple fact that its presence annoys some is reason enough for me to keep it alive.
Why swim the channel just to get this far?
Halfway there, why would you turn around?
Sure, we know nothing is happening this year so there is no drama and no emotional rollercoastering (I know, not a word). What is wrong with the occasional bump of possitivity? I'll be around, and I hope I wont be like the kid from Brazil who kept that PJ Come to Brazil thread going by himself forever.

They will be back. The South is the new Europe, errrr the new "old" Europe. You know the Europe that waited 5 or 6 years as opposed to the "new" Europe that has gone all multiple and stuff.
Doubt Ill be making it to the Not For You party stop, but hopefully next year or whenever they come back, I will be able to meet some of the wonderfull folks who have kept this clock ticking.
