I was talking to this kind little birdie and it sang to me that i should get all the southerners and start a petition and let the band know how much we love them.
We down here in the south have been taking some hits latley, by some of the people on this board, so all jokes aside let's sign this thing and let the band know the south loves and wants them-and everyone else out there sign it too, and come south in the fall and see them again-and if they come near greenville, sc come and eat some delicious southern treats here at my little bistro.
Consider me signed up. Please play Texas!!! I know it's Bu$h territory but I hate him too....does that count for anything??? Besides what better way to be heard? Come down here and make a lot of noise in his backyard...he has to take notice...please Eddie???!!!!

Little Rock, Memphis, Dallas, Tulsa, OKC, Kansas City, Shreveport, etc. I live in Arkansas and I am willing to drive to any one of the states that border Arkansas.
Count me in. I'm a lifetime Chicagoan who spent time in Texas in the 80s and met Texans and others from all over the south. I hate seeing the south get dissed because people make stupid political presumptions that have nothing to do with rock-n-roll. We're fucking MUSIC FANS and to see this great part of our nation dissed and deprived of PJ either by random, or based on assinine political assumptions makes my stomach turn.
I'm up north and would've been bummed if I couldn't have seen great southern rockers like the Drive-By Truckers and Petty this summer. Why should my southern brothers and sisters get screwed?!
By the way, last season I was watching a Seattle Sonics game on satellite TV, which led in with Sonics highlights to the sound of the Drive-By Truckers' "My Sweet Annette".
My point? Folks in Seattle, PJ definitely included, KNOW that there is great music, and great music fans, in our southland. Don't shut them out.

I'm in Virginia and it would be great to get a shoe here, although if they do play the south, VA probably won't get a show since DC got one. Still, I'd love it if they played somewhere nearby... one of the carolina's, west virginia, etc...
