actually, since you're only 5 1, i'd think front row would be perfect. at least you wouldn't have to stand on the seat to see around that big 6 foot meathead in front of you

Hey Invisible - see you're in TN.
If PJ DOES play Nashville, what venue do you think has the best chance of snagging them?

Congrats on 10,000 posts. This whole group kicks ass!

I was catching up on the posts and there is always one question I have. What number do people think is a good number and what number is just a decent number?

(I had to edit that because I just woke up from a nap and the first post made absolutely NO sense)

dang I had to edit it again. New rule, no typing before coffee.

You know they're playing here, right?? The Township is a cool venue, too. I've seen Widepread there several times.

I think I have serious spring fever: I keep starting something then quitting....a little cleaning, a little yard work but no completion! I hate yardwork (and you can tell it)!!

I know what you mean about spring fever. I was gonna start some yardwork but was outside for about 5 minutes before I decided it was too nice and went up the road to play a quick 9 holes of golf.

    front row rules!

Did you have front row in Raleigh 03? I was around 14th row on "Creadle's" side. I'm so using that nickname now! Back to Raleigh, though, I did make it to the first couple of rows for the pre set Hide Your Love Away. The only decent picture I got all night. Will have to look for it and post it.

PS: great tourney for State. I got caught up in the Cardiac Pack. I'm glad we won, but a little part of me would have liked it if State had won and went to The Big Dance. Bright future in Raleigh for those guys.

That is too funny. It looks like a monkey wrote that last sentence I typed. Too funny.
But the question should have simply been, what do people think is a good 10C number and what is a decent 10C number?

So who are people taking to the shows with them?

I plan on hitting 2 shows. Atlanta and Nashville (assuming it is Nashville). My brother in law will go with me to the first show and I am going to get my brother to go to Nashville since he has never seen PJ live.

My husband always goes with me - he'll go to the Fla shows. If he cannot make Atlanta I'll probbably go with my 23 yr old son. He's very cool.

That's probably right....I was 5th or 6th row (Stone) in 00 and front row (Mike) in 03 in Charlotte. Don't know if that would translate as well in Raleigh, though....Got 11th row at the Gorge with my 10C seats.

Danger, what's changed with the ticketing?

I'll take my 17 year-old son to one of them and not sure about any others....I've taken all my friends and an ex already and I'm not sure they will want to travel like I do...I'm thinking weenie may get one of my tickets...doubt my seats will be that great in ATL but it really doesn't matter as long as they aren't nose-bleed!!

no you are correct, it was one of the best shows I've ever seen! Such a great connection between the band and the crowd, seeing them in a small venue with their crowd is completely different, if they play anywere around you....GO!

    as i understand it....

in 00 and 03, the tickets were broken up by seniority in blocks. when you got to the venue, you lined up at one of three or four windows, each one had a number range. 0-50,000, 50001 to 100,000, etc. the actual breakdown was based on who ordered what to each show. the ranges changed from show to show based on what member numbers ordered tickets....

anyway, you lined up. you get to the window, you show your id, the match your name with a "block" list, and give you the next pair off the top of the corresponding pile of tickets. first come, first served by seniority range. if your number is 10, and my number is 20, we're in the same block. but, if i'm ahead of you in line, i get the pair off the top before you do. this could (and did) result in people with higher numbers being in front of those with lower ones since both were in the same block but one was further up in line. also, we calculated how far back in line to be to get center, since the block started with seat one all the way to the right. i'd never want to be first in line....more like 8th or 10th, so as to work the ticket pile towards the center before getting my tix...

as of 06, the tickets are stuck in an envelope by member number before the show. and i believe they started in the center and worked their way out....straight, true seniority. i'm guessing it'll probably drop me back off of front row center...
