I'm happy as can be with the DVD and the new CD. I can't ask for more...except maybe for them to get their butts back to the US for another tour. :D

oh and I don't get the point to the first post in this thread....?

  • I've liked NIN for sooo long but I never really vested any interest in them until a few months ago.. Sometime in between I saw a laser show of their work at Sciworks and was blown away. Sitting in a big dark dome with flashes of light on the ceiling and NIN blowing at an absurd volume.. nothing better.

Anyone know where the phrase 'Head Like A Hole' came from? I've always wondered, it's such an interesting phrase.

Really enjoyed With Teeth, looking forward to the new one.
Can not be arsed with life no more.
  • Don't really like the propsed album title but anything Trent puts out is bound to be excellent.

    So what are we becoming?

  • Can't wait for the new album, plus I'm going to see them live for the first time next month, it's gonna be wicked!

    I'll see you there! ;)

And then in Birmingham the week after.

I haven't seen them on this tour yet, but it seems as if Trent is changing up the setlist a lot (I've seen them twice before and it was nearly identical) and playing songs he hasn't played for a while. Lots of Downward Sprial (including the likes of Mr Self Destruct, Heresy, The Becoming, Eraser and Ruiner), some of the less played songs from With Teeth, and other less heard Fragile tunes (We're In This Together was played, La Mer/Into The Void seems to have made it's way back in too).

So. Expect a killer show! I am!

Oh. The new single Survivalism was also played last night (Barcelona I think).

  • i don't get to see them until the 10th march at brixton but i have been following the set lists. they seem to be playing quiet a lot of older stuff some nights downward spiral, some nights fragile. thay have been playing between 20/21 songs per night and every night is different. last night they played a new song for the first time - survivalist!

no happiness is slavery or perfect drug though. i'd love to see one of those two.
  • I've never seen them live. I'd kill to.
    I'll cut you in.

you must. You simply must. They will likely become your favorite live band or at least tie with whoever occupies that spot in your heart now! I'm just hoping for some US shows, even though Trent's keeping us pretty busy even without shows right now.

Only one regret about seeing NIN live...that I didn't get to do it sooner. If you can catch a show do so.
