No worries! I'm going to have to wait until closer to the time to try and get a ticket, I'm way too skint to buy one at the moment. But I do get to see them at Brixton in a few weeks so it's not so bad!

    Yes Brixton :D

I didn't manage to grab standing for the O2 yesterday or today. Luckily a friend had a spare. I can't believe how quickly they have managed to sell out the O2.

They sold out the 02 already? Jeeez...

Ah well, Birmingham here we come :D

That is very cool of you!

So what are people's favourite songs? I can't stop listening to Arizona at the moment - such an amazing tune.

Knocked Up and Trani for me. But live versions of Trani are all that'll cut it for me these days - that song is 'le cheese'.

Lol! I do love both those songs too, both pretty fucking epic live. Gotta give some love to Fans too. I saw them live for the first time at Reading last year, and when they played Fans the atmosphere was just spine-tingling, check it out: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=SiHZxxBg0oU

Everytime I see a performance from these guys, they knock it out of the park. They just seem to be flawless in a live setting. I love the Baba keys they always put at the start of Fans too. :D

Yeah that's a really cool touch! I also love the extra guitar parts the lead guitarist throws in on that song live, just little bends here and there, but they really add to the atmospherics.

I just got back from seeing them at the brand spanking new All Points West Festival in Liberty State Park, New Jersey. They were fab. Nathan looks like he's been hitting the gym, Matthew's looking more emo, Jared is Jared and Caleb's vocals are fierce.

They opened with "Crawl" and it's a big, bold sounding song in the live. Of course they also gave us "Sex on Fire" and a fantastic "Manhattan". I so cannot wait for this album to drop and to see them this tour.

Bless their hearts for taking on smaller venues this time round even though they could easily fill larger ones.

Does anyone know if seeing Kings Of Leon back to back nights is worth it? Do they change their sets every night, or do they not change it around that much?

I'm not sure to be honest. I know they always play their hits, and they play a good 20 + songs, so I'm guessing they will mix it up, not to mention the fact they will no doubt be playing quite a lot from their new record.

I saw them twice in four days in 2005 and they played the exact same set both times. They don't really mix it up from what I've heard and read. That's one of the only negatives I can think of with them though. Maybe all this time hanging out with PJ will rub off on them and they'll start changing it up more.:)

    Only By The Night Cover

I think it's fucking awesome. Could definitely see it in a Best Album Covers list in 10-20 years. There are one or two other "covers" floating around, all legit, it appears. I hope this is the one that gets approved.

Well now, let's see! The band were FANTASTIC! Good set list, very tight sounding, although the sound quality itself left a bit to be desired.

Unfortunately I was surrounded by, and I don't use this term lightly, a bunch of cunts. I was about half way back in the standing area, so well away from the more energetic moshing types. However I had a group of about eight really drunk guys in front of me who spent the entire evening jumping around, falling into people and generally acting like inconsiderate pricks. What's more, they barely spent any time even facing the stage, they were mostly all huddled together staring each other in the eyes screaming the lyrics at each other. Considering how difficult it was to get tickets for the show, you would think they must have been massive fans, but I didn't get that impression at all. I really wish I had been seated upstairs.

    Sorry :(

Saw loads of touts but none with tickets ... so yeah think they must have been fans. Felt bad there were also loads of fans outside trying to find tickets.

... and upstairs ... not so much of the sitting going on.

Well yeah, I didn't quite mean sitting, but it would have been nice to not have people falling into us every other minute!

Obviously they must have been fans of the band because they sang pretty much every word at each other! It seemed more like a homo-erotic bonding session than a group of guys at a gig - all very strange.

I felt like making a thread about this band, damn, if they aren't one of the best bands out there right now I don't know who is. So anyway, their new album is coming out september 22, wooo! And by the sounds of the new songs they've played live it sounds like it's gonna be another classic! Check 'em out:
