I felt like making a thread about this band, damn, if they aren't one of the best bands out there right now I don't know who is. So anyway, their new album is coming out september 22, wooo! And by the sounds of the new songs they've played live it sounds like it's gonna be another classic! Check 'em out:

I think both clips I posted are from their PJ support slots, I could be wrong though.

The title is Only By The Night. It has 11 tracks, including "Closer," "Crawl," "Sex On Fire," and "Cold Desert."

Can't fucking wait for this!!!! Wonder when we'll see a single?

I'm guessing a single will drop towards the end of July or something like that, it would be nice if it were sooner though!

    there's always one.

KOL are great... and i'm pretty sure it says that in the bible somewhere.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Yes: check out Song of Songs 3:24: 'The Kings Solomon and Nebuchadnezzar were worthy of all the wealth and swooning women God did bestow upon them, but not as great as the Kings of Leon, who were the shit.'
'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

Thanks for posting the links. These songs sound great!
We were late getting to Va Beach because of the traffic, so we missed seeing the new song. We could hear it as we were walking in and it sounded great even from a distance! Now, I can see what I missed!
I've loved Kings Of Leon since I was doing research before seeing them open for U2 at MSG! I've also seen them at The Electric Factory in Philly, at Radio City in NYC and, mostly, opening for PJ in Va Beach.
A new album and more chances to see them will be sweet!

KOL is a top 3 band for me right now...Actually smack dam right in the middle between PJ and QOTSA...

The energy of there songs are perfect..I actually think they have gotton better with each album!!! Hope the trend continues....

A great tune not on any of their albums is Wicker Chair...Look it up...
    Conversations getting dull
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
    And I'm bored to tears.......

I really liked KOL at virginia beach. I hate sound like I'm 80 years old (I am pretty close though), but I could not understand the words when they were singing. Maybe I was too close to the stage? :D

Your subtle gloating aside (:p) KoL's singer isn't really known for his intelligibility. The words in KoL songs are pretty much always secondary to the music and the feel anyways. :)
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

No I didn't, I'm really not a fan of that venue to be honest - and this is the down side of KOL being so big over here in the UK, not much chance of smaller shows these days. Even more annoying is that they are playing V festival this year, which is about 20 minutes from my house, but they are pretty much the only band playing that day that I would want to see. I'm not sure I can justify shelling out £70 just for them.
