reeferchief wrote:The Verve are so much more than Bittersweet Symphony, I hate that song also btw, but as far as british bands of the 90's go, I would have The Verve probably second only to Radiohead, The Verve's albums and music has a lot of depth to it, it's a shame and a testament of good music going unoticed by the masses that it took them until '97 before making it big.
The first two albums A Storm In Heaven and A Northern Soul are awesome, both blow Urban Hymns out of the water.:)
ok so first off. i did know the verve were more than just bittersweet symphony.
anyway i have since listened to a northern soul more than a few times, and yes it is way better than urban hymns. it grabbed me from the outset, which was something urban hymns failed to do.hear my name

Yes, The original white rapper, Mark E. Smith; awesome shit
I've never listened to The Ruts before although I shall
as far as The Buzzcocks, I like em, but i'm hardpressed to take anyone off the list, I should just add them, I think theres 23 bands on there allready anyway."Stunned by my own reflection, It's looking back, sees me too clearly and I swore I'd never go there again, Not unlike a friend that politely drags you down, down, down"
When you see me on the street, yell out "FAVO!!!"
I've been to alot of Pearl Jam shows; So fucking what.0 -

I'll be honest, I think you are onto something there. Doherty has turned out to be a right cock, but that's not to say he wasn't in a really cool sounding band for a few years. Yes, I think you may be correct- "People tell me I'm wrong, people tell me I'm wrong.......Fuck 'em!"I came, I saw, I concurred.....0 -
