    And besides, this is the "Other [than Pearl Jam] Music" forum, where else should Pearl Jam fans take discussions about Led Zeppelin? There is a big sign on this thread that says Led Zeppelin. That should be enough for you to decide whether to hit or pass. I personally hate Dim-Sum Chinese Food. In Chinatown(LA), I read the signs and avoid these places like the plague. I don't run into one of these places screaming "Dim-Sum sucks!". Please don't be a turd in our punchbowl. Us Zeppelin fans are having a moment we thought would never happen ever again. And when it came, it was better than what anybody would have dreamed. Please let us savor this moment. Thanks.

    there are plenty of bands i don't care for, so if i see a thread for them i don't post in them. just avoid the zep threads and go to the ones you like. sure there are a ton of zep threads, but with damn good reason. last nite was a huge deal.

    i can't even watch the clips at work cuz i want to totally zone out on them, i have to wait till i get home (dammit!)

    Excellent post mate. I'm on such a high still, 24 hours after the gig, you wouldnt believe it! It was such an emotional night. I give thanks to God for giving me the chance to see the greatest rock band of all time! :)

    But, the Led Zeppelin reunion yesterday, to most music fans, was the biggest thing going on currently in the music world. Myself included. Everything else, Pearl Jam included (if they had an thing going on this year) would all take a backseat to the Led Zeppelin show yesterday. And due to its magnitude, the discussions will be long lasting on many different music forums like this one. We'll be speculating a future tour and analyzing and watching shitty YouTube clips from the show for a long time to come - until the DVD is released or a full blown tour is announced.

    This Led Zeppelin hype isn't going away anytime soon. If I were you, I'd get used to not clicking on these Led Zeppelin threads.

    I was skeptical about this performance after all live aid and atlantic record shows sucked bad. I was worried it would tarnish their image and just be a nostalgia ride back to the 70's but they held their own plus a lot more. They were in fine fine form.

    Imagine if your precious Oasis played there first concert in over 25 years and you had a chance to go. You would be really excited and I'm guessing you would be talking about it THE DAY AFTER IT HAPPENED.

    well since this right now is the biggest thing that ever happend in music the greatest band back togather if u dont want to talk about them then skip this thread. I bet u are a nickleback fan huh

    I can't even put in to words how horrible I feel about this thread.

    Listen to Given to Fly, the greatest PJ song I have ever heard and then listen to Going to California, then you will understand why people are going bonkers over this shit.

    I NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER EVER thought I would have a chance in my lifetime to even sniff at the idea of seeing Led Zeppelin live, like the chances were greater Elvis or Tupac weren't dead and they started touring. I mean fuck, they quit b/c they knew without Bonham they wouldn't be able to hack it. They bowed out like MJ in his prime or Elway after he won the 2 Superbowls.

    People want them to tour for the same reason we want Pearl Jam to tour constantly, think about if you didn't get to hear Pearl Jam live for 25 years and they decided to play a one off gig and FUCKING KILLED IT, you would want a tour also.( I was not there but was lucky enough to find a bootleg, I get chills just listening to a crappy recording, in fact if you tried to whack the smile off my face it would be darn near impossible).

    Fuck man I am sure glad people are freaking out about Led Zeppelin playing a show, then not getting tickets to Hanna Montana. BUT if you want people to, you should create threads like this.

    I'm an Oasis and Pearl Jam fan also, but even I wouldn't put them in the same class as Zeppelin. The closest we've gotten to Zeppelin since they broke up was Guns N' Roses, but unfortunately Axl's pulled a Syd Barrett and lost his fucking mind!! I admit that I was a skeptic of what Zeppelin, and specifically Plant would sound like, but after watching the Kashmir clip, I'm a fucking believer again. Here's to hoping we get a 2008 North American tour.
