Black Sabbath still exists. My vote easily goes to Led Zeppelin. Hendrix and Floyd are the runners-up.

they're not the same today as they would have been back in the day. i was talking original line-up...seeing them back then...
  • The Smiths.

This mini-debate in regards to the Black Sabbath line-up reminds me of a band that I have not mentioned..........Rainbow w/Ronnie James Dio as lead vocalist. Or even Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio as lead vocalist.

Man, you Americans are so inward ;)

    Only joking.

The Smiths are one of the greatest british bands ever, second only to the Beatles. Buy their self titled first album to find out why.

  • Just found out I got tickets to David Gilmour in Chicago, on the thursday show. I am so excited. It is at the Rosemont Theatre. I heard it holds around 2000 people. Should be a stellar show.

    Lots...

Always thought Jimi Hendrix at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967
and Led Zeppelin at the Fillmore in 1969 are usually way high on the list.

    So many...

LOL........that explains why I missed it.....my brain was programed to seal itself off from external inputs if those names were ever mentioned in a conversation that did not include the phrase, "They really suck....."

Zac and Tom Morello was one of the great vocal/guitar combos I reckon and the best drumming I've ever heard comes from People of the Sun. I love the drumming at the start just after that scratchy guitar intro. Sounds amazing! A reunion would be awesome Posa!
