  • Embarrassing isn't even a strong enough word for what CC has done to his once respected career.

I still believe he deserves all the respect in the world for his past accomplishments...but his career is now dead to me.

Great-more GA tickets for those of us that still want to see him. Have you seen the setlists for his solo shows? Temple of the Dog, old Soundgarden stuff that hasn't been played live for many many years (15, 20 years?) Sure-I'd prefer to see Kim, Matt & Ben with Chris but you can't tell much of a difference between the actual Soundgarden and his new band if you close your eyes and listen.
...And he who forgets will be destined to remember.

...I swear I never took it for granted. Just thought of it now.

His new band is rather good but I wouldn't go that far.
I am lost, I'm no guide. But I'm by your side...

Really. And Kim Thayil may not be the most skilled guitarist in history but his sound was essential to Soundgarden.

Exactly, it's one thing to create the sound and it's another thing to mimic it.

Nothing against the backing band, but if they ever go into the studio with Chris to cut a rock album, and he gives them any autonomy, *then* we'll see what they've got.

And I think Kim gets alot of shit thrown on him, for a band that has you know, some eastern sounds to it from time to time, I wonder where those sounds are coming from? Wouldn't be the Indian guy... nah. :)
  • Cornell always sucked. Nothing new here.

Seasons, Sunshower and Euphoria Morning do not suck.

People who haven't listened to Euphoria Morning will always SUCK.
Or the people who gave it one listen and shelved it because it wasn't Badmotorfinger Part II.

  • I guess the "I still respect Cornell" thread has been deleted. What the Cornell Team has the ability to delete threads at this board too? How stupid.

There was alot of good information.

    deleted i guess...
  • I feel a huge sense of relief
I feel lucky to be alive to witness what has happened in the U.S. over the last several months.
To witness what happened today. Historical.
We needed this. I needed this.
    I need hope.
I feel hope when I see good in human nature.
I have seen it a lot lately.
Out on tour doing in store visits with Timbaland signing posters. Taking pictures. Playing live with his band to fans who were open to a collaboration that is truly unique.
I don't care what anyone says. What we did together is different than anything that has been done before, and I saw goodness in the people that came to the events with the willingness to be open to something different than what they are used to.
    Great people. Great fans.
    The best fans!
    Thank you! C

Oh dear. "I don't care what anyone says", "The best fans". The man IS deluded.
  • I don't care what anyone says. What we did together is different than anything that has been done before...
    No. It's not. Stop it.
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.
  • No. It's not. Stop it.

    + 1

Has he not heard Timberlake or One Republic?!

Yes it's new and unique for Cornell, but not in terms of mainstream music.
