lol, I registered just to say that Tom Morello just happened to do a free show in a music store here in Boston a week or so ago and as I was waiting to get something signed from him, I was trying to think of something clever or relevant to say so I decided to ask him what he thought about Chris's new album. He said he hadn't heard it all yet, but that it's a "bold move" and that he "hopes he's doing it because it's what he really wants to do" (I can't remember if there was an "and not because...." later part). So overall a diplomatic response, which is what I expected, but I'm betting the album won't be on heavy rotation on Tom's iPod, but that's just my thought.
Tom was a great guy btw, very nice, even asked me right back what I thought after I asked him haha. 0 -
Thanks Billy - Welcome to the forum. Tom's answer was diplomatic. The truth in diplomacy is usually in what isn't said.
It is a bold move but the "hopes he's doing it because it's what he really wants to do" is interesting.
muppet - are people still saying this is groundbreaking? Seriously? I'd say it's more heartbreaking. He looks totally foolish.0 -

Na man, he looks stylishly foolish. And you know how if you're going to just turn around and suck donkey balls, it's important to look your best.Idaho's Premier Outdoor Writer

Morello seems to be a great guy, if a little pompous at times. I've got no idea what happened with Audioslave but it's pretty cool to see all of them acting like adults and not dragging it all in the press (like Velvet Revolver).0 -
Wow, that video...
Truly embarrasing.0 -
Morello has become a better solo artist than Cornell.0

Butthead: Huh huh.0 -

At this point I think that's the only thing that could save him right now. That said, I think Myles Kennedy's probably got the gig.0 -
Cornell is just wasting his talent now.....'The more I studied religions the more I am convinced that man never worshipped anything but himself.' - Sir Richard Francis Burton0

Hopefully this will turn out like a case where a spouse or girlfriend/boyfriend has been a complete and total ass then made it up to you later with the wildest mind blowing sex you ever had. If that's the case CCs gonna have to lay one asskickin rock and roll experience on us to make up for this crap.0

Hmmm, perhaps Cornell suffers from a similar condition. Would explain the direction his career has taken. My Pearl Jam Photos
