Thanks...I believe that I have seen that one readily available locally.
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
The Redwalls and The Dead 60's are great!! I saw The Dead 60's open for Weezer and I thought they were not too bad so I got their album and it is really good!! Try them out!!
Let me sleep all night in your soul kitchen....... Learn to forget....... fingers weive quick minarets speak in secret alphabet.
Well i'm sure a lot of people have heard of these bands but maybe someone hasn't. some of my favorite not quite mainstream bands are:
built to spill
minus the bear
Another one i'm getting into now is Dredg
these are more well known but still very good
at the drive in/ the mars volta
wilco
flaming lips
built to spill, they are the greatest!

KINGS OF LEON - I dont know how big they are in the USA, although i have heard they are huge in England. Well in Australia they are unknown so i have to include them here.
DOVES - Band from Manchester, England who are well known there, not sure about the USA, but again in Australia they are relatively unknown.
THIRD EYE BLIND - I know this group were very popular after their self titled debut and everybody has heard of them. In Australia they get next to no attention at all, it has been that way since their first album. I assume they are still relatively popular in the states but as i said down under they are rare. Thats why i like them, because if their stuff was played all over the radio i would get sick of it quick, its so catchy.
Phantom Planet - Their hit California was all over the place, but very few people know Phantom Planet. In Australia they are not well known.
Check any of the last 5 CDs, from either of them... check 'em now! Go! Now! You'll be glad you did it, I swear!

i cant believe no one put Soul Coughing in their list.
all three of their studio CDs are aewsome.
Ruby Vroom, Irresistible Bliss, and El Oso(my personal favorite album ever)
they just released a bunch LIVE cds recently. i haven't bought any of them yet, because i'm kinda broke right now.
also Mike Doughty(front man) is a solo artist now, he has a new CD out.

Nope, not anymore. They released a third album last year, and it did ABSOLUTELY nothing. I don't think even 90% of the North American population even knew they had a new album. I can't even remember what it's called.
Anyways, I pick:
Faith No More and Mr. Bungle
The Mr. T Experience (Berkeley CA, Lookout Records. Same scene and label as Green Day, but didn't make it big, for some reason. They certainly have way more than enough catchy songs and clever lyrics. Dr. Frank is a songwriting machine. I think most Green Day fans would like them, except they sing more about girls and stuff and they don't have fake British accents.)
King Missile (Aside from Detachable Penis, they had quite a good catalog of good and funny songs. A lot of them are better than the aforementioned hit. If I ever saw them live, I wouldn't even care if they played that one.)
Rusty (Canadian band, known up here in the 90's for the song "Misogyny" and a few others, but their stuff isn't even available anymore, unless you look on eBay. I bought their first album on their and it's good stuff.)
The Killjoys (There are two bands called the Killjoys, the ones from Australia and then from Canada, but I'm talking about the Canadian one. Their second album, Gimme Five, is great, it's the only one I have. It has great songs like "Rave + Drool" and "Soaked". I recommend those. Their first big hit up here was "Today I Hate Everyone". They encountered the same kind of fate as Rusty: only moderately popular in Canada in the 90's and CD's that are only available anymore on eBay. I really like them, though.)
Noise Therapy (Band from Vancouver, I really like their Cyclops EP. It's only available anymore on eBay.)
54/40 (Another Vancouver band. Many great hits in Canada throughout the 80's and 90's that would've done well in the States if given a chance by their record label to release anything down there.)

Faith no more... hardly anyone i knows heard of them... I guess they were a bit before my time...
the thing with FNM is that they are only well-known for one song - Epic - which is a shame because they have much better stuff, especially on Angel Dust and Album of the Year.
