...................but.........I am sure that it will change on Sept.23.....:).;).:)
Conversations getting dull
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
And I'm bored to tears.......

  • I have to agree, although I think The Lucky Ones by Mudhoney is a very close second.

    at this moment:

Wolf Parade - At Mount Zoomer OR....
    Islands - Arms Way OR....
Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago OR....
    Spiritualized - Songs in A&E

(new Mercury Rev, Stereolab and Primal Scream are pretty great - but I haven't spent enough time with them yet)
In my world everyone is a pony,
and they all eat rainbows and pooh butterflies!
  • DBT - Brighter Than Creation's Dark
Gutter Twins - Saturnalia, and probably Adorata in the next day or two
Mark & Isobel - Sunday at Devil Dirt

And yes, I'm 99% certain KoL will be added to that list in due time. :D
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

Yep, and I still like most of the songs on COTL more than that "Crawl" song from KOL.

For me it's between the Raconteurs and Black Keys at this point. Of course I'm ready for some Kings of Leon in 6 weeks!
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.
  • Portishead "Third"... so non-commercial yet so compelling after repeat listenings.
It may be cold and distant as some reviews have said but yet it's still miles more warm and authentic than many records out this year.

    My favorites so far:

Constantines- Kensington Heights (it's gonna be tough to knock this one from my #1 position)
    R.E.M.- Accelerate
    Kathleen Edwards- Asking for Flowers
    The Hold Steady- Stay Positive
Drive-By Truckers- Brighter Than Creation's Dark
Sam Roberts- Love at the End of the World
Matt Mays & El Torpedo- Terminal Romance
    The Black Crowes- Warpaint
"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."

The best album of 2008 is "Seventh Tree" by Goldfrapp, you butt mongers. Or maybe even Death Cab For Cutie's "Narrow Stairs".

    REM's Accelerate was quite good.
