I don't love them as much as PJ because I kinda avoided them until The Perfect Drug (so PJ had like a 6 year head start for me). But they are up there in my top 25% of bands I love.

I loved NIN before PJ but they are pretty far down the list now.

  • In terms of active artists NIN rank second only to PJ for me.

Just showed up. Forgot how good this album is, so happy I grabbed it 😃.
NIN is still fairly high on my list, especially since they are still making music. There’s a few old bands I still follow closer or as close (PJ, Radiohead) and a couple newer ones I fanboy over (Baroness, Bon Iver, Idles) but NIN had been out there pretty consistently for a long time. They still tour and the concerts are still fantastic and I will still go see them whenever I have the chance.

In the 90s NIN and PJ were pretty close with PJ getting a bit of an edge. Since 2000 I'd have to say NIN has the edge now especially over the last few records of each band.

Did anyone else get another ship notice regarding the Quake Soundtrack? I remember receiving an email a few months ago saying something about the Quake Soundtrack having issues, then today I received a ship notification saying it was shipped today, but with tracking numbers showing it was delivered back in October?

NIN announced 2 shows in Cleveland with the Pixies opening!

Too bad it is the same week as Ohana!

Tried to get a ticket for the Thursday show during the presale today and forgot how much I despise the TM/LN waiting room queue.  Was 1100 back at the start, got all the way down to 74 and then it just stopped and never could get through for anything until too late.  So annoying.  Hopefully better luck on the next presale

Looks like NIN are focusing on festivals this year except for the Cleveland shows.

I want to listen to that but it starts out with some absolutely horrid interview subjects.  Not sure if they are drugged out or Brain damaged from past use but holy shit that was tough.  Has to turn off.  Maybe will come back and watch a bit at a time.

I watched a good chunk of it and really enjoyed a good amount. Listening to Danny was brutal. Total attention whore. It felt like Trent was getting embarrassed by (for) him.

Absolutely epic show in Cleveland Saturday night. It was a joy getting to see Danny, Charlie, Chris, and Rich all up there. Bummer that it was immediately followed by Trent going to the band's discord channel to give an ambiguously pessimistic message regarding any future tours - but that performance was such a joy to witness!

NIN/Trent will be doing the new Tron movie soundtrack. Not sure if it's just him and Atticus as usual, definitely looking forward to this. I'm a big fan of what Daft Punk did on the last score.

  • Nice, I’m so fucking in. I had tickets for Hammerstein Ballroom in 2005. They were the hardest tickets to get ever. I was 15-16 and I wasn’t allowed to go. I had to sell them. I remember tickets were on StubHub or whatever it was called back then for $1k each. I listed mine for $500 each and they sold immediately. Bought a teal Gibson SG with that money; exactly like the one Eddie had in 2003.
20 years later I’m fucking in

Had my car towed at a show, not nin, in nyc. Was planning to see Trent before he got super popular, play in a teeny tiny club in Newark nj, the pipeline, the next night. Couldn't make it. My friend back then, late 80s, was super into cutting edge music and I had my drivers license and he didn't. Hooked me up with mad tix and show ideas I never would have caught.
    Ah the good ol days

I've never seen them... I was supposed to a couple of times, and things came up...  A Friday night hometown show feels like the stars are aligning for it to finally happen this year.
