Looks like they're coming to Ventura Theater which is actually the first place I ever saw them, back in 2003 for Songs for the Deaf. Can't wait.

Wow, great news; Saturday night show for me too, I'll take it.

Looking at Ticketmaster, they don't say Royal Blood will be opening in Boston. Does anyone see a list of dates elsewhere? I glanced at QOTSA.com, but didn't have a ton of time to search through the site.

I'll be disappointed if RB doesn't open in Boston, they're fantastic. QOTSA alone is awesome, but w/ RB opening that will be an amazing night of music.

Good tune. Something about their sound that always hits the spot. I'm bummed the album isn't out until August 25th! Really wanted it to be my summer anthem :)

Really liking the new tune.  Bummed that their only Chicago date is at Riot Fest.  I keep missing out on all these bands because they all play Riot Fest and Lollapalooza...brutal.

I was concerned since the Boston show was the only one where TM didn't have RB listed as the opener, but it's all good:

Anybody else having problems ordering the new album? I get to the end of the transaction and keep getting some weird object error.

i'm just gonna try for public sale.  i don't think it will sell out that quick and luckily the philly show is outdoor ga.  so hopefully i'll be good.

this will be my 10th time seeing them.  Pretty much caught them everytime they've played philly since 2002 (missed them when they opened for RHCP in '03 in Camden and a radio festival show in '02)

How do you get a presale code for QOTSA? Can someone please explain this to me? I have no idea.
  • tbergstbergs Posts: 9,881
    Follow this link: https://qotsa.me/2t6EPA4
Login with facebook or ticketmaster, pick the location of the concert you want to attend from the map and then enter your phone number and you will be entered in to presale group 2 (Tuesday, June 20 at 1pm CDT). If you buy an album or bundle from the QOTSA store, you will get entered in group 1 (Tuesday, June 20 at 12pm CDT). You must register by June 17 at 7pm PDT.

That sounds complicated as fuck...what is the point?  Their is vinyl available for purchase, where?  I have never seen them in concert as I just got into them past 1-2 years...I will definitely go if Detroit is on the tour.

Am I guaranteed a spot in the first group if I order the cd? Can someone who ordered the cd please confirm that they are in group 1. Furthermore, I went to the queens website and the cd was $15. While using a link from the email I think, the cd was $11.

So I kind of accidentally ended up preordering the deluxe version from the UK store, and the total was $69.25 CAD, including shipping. Wow, expensive! Oh well. I actually wish now that I'd ordered the indie version. Maybe I'll ask to change the order? I'm wondering if someone can convince me why the deluxe is better, lol. I know I like the cover of the indie version more, obviously, but I guess the deluxe comes with extra stuff. Hmm. Anyway, afterwards, I went to pretend-order from the US QOTSA shop to compare prices, and the final total on that was $66+ USD!! That is a pretty significant different after the conversion. So any Canadians should buy through the UK site if they want to save money! Get 'em here: https://shopeu.matadorrecords.com/products/queens-of-the-stone-age-villains

(Sorry if that info was already posted - I haven't read all the posts from today)

You have to pre-order from the official QOTSA store or from the Matador Records store. I pre-ordered from Matador and am in Group 1. Matador looks like it's $11.99 and QOTSA is $15.99 for the CD. Not sure how the difference works out with the CD re: tax + shipping on that since I ordered the LP.

I ordered from Matador by clicking on the top left link on the main QOTSA page.

I then went to check my group & I'm in group 2.
