I don't think they played anything off the first album. They did play one song I did not recognize. They basically played the latest album plus a few choice tunes from the second album.
Favourite tune? I don't really know. Welcome to the Night Sky in it's entirety plus Lipstick, Jaws of Life, Danse Macabre, and Migration make for the perfect listening experience for my ears.

Now we just have to convince them to come to the UK :(
I just noticed I said "Hey cev" instead of "Hey ceg". That'll teach me for being lazy and abreviating.
q
hahah... that's ok! i knew who you were talkin' about...
it's funny.... in my head, i always abbreviate my username to CIV, but everyone else seems to use CEG...
CEV... the best of both names...
ps. i like your choices from Untitled.... i didn't like Migration as much until i heard it live.... and lately, i've been loving Danse Macabre (mostly since i saw the incredible video!!)
~~*~~ ...i surfaced and all of my being was enlightend... ~~*~~
if it works and it's cool, i'm going to have to go buy the CD...
Cool! I had no idea this song even existed. I'm gonna throw on the album right now and check it out. Thanks for the tip!
"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."
what's the song like? is it a full song? what's it like? is it acoustic? tell me!!!!
Ok!
So. It is a full song. Very sombre, and quite dark. The only accompanying instrument is piano, and thats used quite sparsely. The lyrics, as far as I can tell, are:
After the snow went away
You stood by the fire
With an armful of wood
Your charcoaled empire
You smeared all the ashes
All over your body
Smothering the remnants
Over swollen memories
You ran to the forest
A cold sanctuary
The last breath of snowflake
Swallowed beneath

Of course not! I think you've got a few people into Wintersleep by keeping this thread going, so we must not let it die. We need more people to hear the awesome music of Wintersleep

i did some research this morning, and the image i had in my head was actually of the god Shiva, taking the form of Nataraja "King of the Dance".... and get this, one of the hands is holding a drum, representing sound originating Creation!
so my many-armed-god is a drummer afterall!!

Ok, so how the hell do you get the song to play?? I tried rewinding during "Lipstick", I tried using the skip function...nothing is working. Somebody help me!

It won't work on a computer, I tried every program I have that plays music. The way I got it to work was to press play, so Lipstick starts to play, and then to press and hold the back/rewind button. This should skip back through Lipstick, then after it hits 0:00, it should keep going. If you go back about 4 minutes, you'll get the whole track. Good luck!

I tried that, and it doesn't work. And the one I have is an actual store-bought copy of the album. Perhaps it was only included on certain copies. Who knows?
