I remember walking 3 miles to wal-mart to get it with my friend Erika. Then my mom heard one of the interludes and took it away for awhile....
Come on! It was '94 and I was in 5th grade.....
If we were talking cassettes, then I would have some real doozies!
Don't remember my first cassette, probably something Bluegrass.
My first record is a proud one for me, Madonna "Like a Virgin". I was a proud four year old singng Material Girl
(for the record, I think I have owned Ten well more than 10 times. Had the cassette first, then the cd a couple of times, then the vinyl, then the cd a few more times...and I bought quite a few of No Code, cassette and cd so that I could collect all the different polaroids)
One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain ~Bob Marley
first cds were guns n roses' use your illusion I and II, at the same time.
first tape was given to me a few years earlier and, as anyone might expect a 10 year old kid to get, it was weird al's greatest hits.
I bought, Rolling Stones:Let it Bleed, Run-DMC:Raising Hell and Madonna: Madonna (Used) all at the same time in late 1985 as I got a Sony CD player for X-mas. Those were the first "CD's" I ever bought, first album I ever bought was STYX The Grand Illusion @ Target in 1977 when I was 8 years old, MAN I'm getting OLD!
My first CD was a very obscure one...Utah Saints "Something Good" EP from 1992. It was given to me with my first CD player for Christmas in '92. I was 12. And yes, I did request it. In fact, I think it came in a long box.
i was 10 in 1994, and that year alot of folks in my family finally started to get cd players. my parents got their first, as did my grandparents. my cousin wasnt going to visit for christmas in 1994, so she gave me my present maybe in november or something, a cd, my first one, and i didnt have a cd player to play it on. It was monster by REM. For christmas i got a sony cd player, my first one, and in my stocking, i got Led Zep Zoso, Hootie and the Blowfish Cracked rear view, and from my uncle Vitalogy.

the my girl soundtrack in 1991 or 92 i think. good soundtrack if you like oldies. at the time i was still buying tapes. mostly rap tapes and michael jackson. my first actual album on cd was todd rundgren's "no world order" which was a really weird/interesting album (not sure if i could say it was very good) from an underrated legend.
