well..i am too old to talk about my first cd.. ;-)
..the first lp was "cloud nine", george harrison, 1987..then.."introspective", pet shop boys.."kick", inxs..and some of italian music.."blu", zucchero fornaciari..
..the first cd in 1994, roberto vecchioni "ippopotami"..well i imagine you know this italian folksinger very well.. ;-)
..it's not like you kill someone..
it's not like you drove an hateful spit into his side..
it could have very well been Abbey Road or The Soft Parade howeVer, it also could have been Grand Funk Raiload or something from the cheapy bin. i can't remember ...~
******************************** "Forgive every being, the bad feelings it's just me"
First tape..MC Hammer "please Hammer, dont hurt 'em"..i was in grade 3 or something. I think I still have it somewhere..
As I got older I started getting into rock, but mainly listened to tapes..all my early nirvana and pearl jam listening was on tapes..I can't even remember the first actual CD I bought..probably a "grunge" album though
And I'm not living this life without you, I'm selfish and clear
And you're not leaving here without me, I don't wanna be without
My best... friend. Wake up, to see you could have it all
I got into the CD game a little late. I bought two at Best Buy when I also bought my first CD player. The discs were Rev Horton Heat's Liquor in the Front Poker in the Rear and Ministry's Land of Rape and Honey.
I was buying tapes up until 97. The first cd I bought was the monkees for my favourite and the first cd I bought was The beatle antology 2.What a great one that is.
fuck cant remember me first cd, think it was one of the first albums by RHCP or an early REM one. but can remember my first music casette, it was INXS - kick (ha ha) and my first vinyl was meatloaf - bat out of hell.
...Pearl Jam, a group filled with pride, passion, and intricate musicianship. Their music is full of subtle textures, rich color, soul-searching power, imagery, and eerie dissonance.
The first cd (or album of any sort for that matter) was Travis Tritt: Greatest Hits From the Beginning back in 8th grade or so. Still probably the all-time most played cd out of my entire collection. It really is good if you like that sort of thing. I know he's not gonna be very popular here (I'm not much of a country fan nor have I been for about 8 years). I still think it's a solid album.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

"A consistently good band works all the different elements well. A song has to appeal sentimentally, intellectually, physically, viscerally, and dig deep down into your soul and suck you into it. And after that, of course, it'd be a matter of taste." ~ Kim Thayil from Soundgarden
First CD I ever bought - Aerosmith - Nine Lives
I bought it in Germany where I was on an Exchange trip. Bought it from my pocket money but my parents decided that pocket money didn't cover buying CDs so I had to return the cost of it from my own money, haha.
Why do I keep fuckin' up?
