no...but...this is getting absurd...the man said..."we have a new album called zeitgeist comming out in tuesday, i know you are all gonna buy it, and not illegaly downloaded from the net, like you did all our other albums...just kidding..."

wau...lets make a big deal cause of that?
that guy is on this board is showing needless dissrespect...i would like
to see him be a highlight of live earth...
call me when you do that...

he made pretty much the same joke at the show i was at in asheville
    standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
    eager to identify with
    someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way

Um, can we get the conversation back onto Zeitgeist please?

I haven't got my copy yet, and I'm interested to hear people's opinions (on the album, not on Billy!)
If you all stop hitting refresh for just two minutes, I can buy my tickets...

Not a Pumpkins fan; checked it out becuase I've been hearing a lot of things about them. Really, really bad. I love the drumming but the rest is just a mess.

Although the older stuff that I'm checking out sounds cool so maybe I'll appreciate it more later. But I doubt it.

"well if you make a record that is as good as zeitgeist le me know...
...musician ... i bet you could do the united states drumm bit in a flash..."

Oh man, people really need to stop saying this in reply to a bad review. I can't cook food, so dammit, I guess I can't eat anymore.

I saw them at their final show in asheville last week. Great show. I love the first three pumpkin albums and i like Machina and Adore some.

It is too bad Gossamer is not on the album that song is massive.

I am looking forward to hearing the album tonight/tomorrow whenever i get the itunes presale.

Bleeding the Orchid sounded really good live. As did United States, doomsday clock, Tarantula, and starz. I did not think Neverlost was bad.

I like it, not as much as the first four records (yes I'm counting Adore). Billy's vocals are terribly mixed on this disc. Masterpiece....nah. But he's gotta (re)start somewhere right?

I think Gossamer does have a live version, but it isn't being released. But yes, it's a shame. The best Pumpkins song post-Iha.

Now that the thread is actually back on topic, would the person who said he/she was a pumpkins fan but really didn't like the album explain why? I'm just curious. I really enjoy all of their albums - even Machina I AND Machina II. I've only heard snippets of most of the songs, but I liked most of what I heard and was looking forward to picking this up. I would like to hear from other pumpkins fans who don't like it. Please tell me what you don't like about it, more than just "it sucks".

    zeitgeist is nicegeist! ha

honestly, it really is a great album...i can't seem to stop listening to it. i've had it for a week now and it's only getting better. in addition, the b-sides that have surfaced (sorry, no gossamer) are amazing too. the title track and stellar are more than worthy of being on the album.

i can confidently say it's the best album billy has created since adore (which was brilliant, you know).
