What were the other songs they did (which didn't make the broadcast)?

IMHO, the Who sounded pretty rough.

They only did 2 songs. They should both on the broadcast. Your right The Who sounded rough. I think they need to take it down a notch. Maybe take a lesson from Neil Young and evolve a little more. Right now they're trying to reproduce themselves from 40 years ago and it's just not possible. Kind of makes me glad Zeppelin never tried a reunion. They're still great in a vintage kind of way though. It's like when you go to Fenway Park. You know it's way past it's time but it's still worth every penny.

the individual rip of the real me on here sounds great, the love reign o'er me (in the .rar of the two songs + sean penn) isn't bad but i'd love one as good as the real me. sorry to be obnoxious & clearly not helping solve the issue myself hahah.

Pearl Jam did fucking incredible, but even I'll admit they cannot compare to The Who. I dont even listen to "The Who" that much, but they certainly put on a better performance than PJ. Not to mention they are in their 60's.

I don't want to be a PJ homer. And I do like the Who.

But the Who's performance tonight falls under the heading of "cute" ... as in "Look at grandpa hitting on that 21-year-old girl. It's so cute."

The Who in their prime were a fucking beast (or so I'm told). The version of the Who tonight got blown off the fucking stage. They just can't keep up, mostly because Daltrey aint what he used to be. I mean, he's old. It happens to the best of us.

They should have let Ed sing Baba, so he could show Roger how it's supposed to be done.

Sorry it took so long, but Megaupload took forever to finish uploading.

    1. Love, Reign O'er Me.avi (705 KBPS) 5:29
    2. The Real Me.avi (705 KBPS) 3:15

Unfortunately I forgot to remove the watermark on Reign but it's only at the top of the screen in the black letterbox, not actually in the way of any of the video. For brevity in getting these up, I decided against re-recording it.

The greatest band in the world!!! I said it once, again, They nailed it tonight. Stone animated, Jeff's badddd a$$ bass, Mike being the Guitar God and Eddie, wow, what a show.

Muscular Matt Cameron holding down the fort, awesome performances.

I hate to sound like a music snob, but Brandon Boyd wasn't very good in my opinion.

downloading the movies right now. thanks.

might i add that mike was really the only one to break an instrument whatsoever the whole night. sure the flaming lips drummer kicked over his set, but mike gave that throw some power. he was even more animated than he normally is. god i love this band.

They should have renamed "The Real Me"

It should be called "Jeff Ament goes fucking bat shit for about four fucking minutes"

Although that title would be kind of long, admittedly.

    Puuuhleeezzee...

The Ox would wipe the floor with Ament.

I will give credit to Jeff because he did a good job, mighty big shoes to fill

I'm not comparing Jeff to John.

    funny line

It would've been funny it wasn't so completely inaccurate. Has Sean Penn been living in a cave the past twenty years as far as The Who is concerned? I couldn't really care less if they've sold their songs to a batch of tv shows or commercials but let's not turn around & claim that they haven't "sold out" but that Vh-1/MTV are the bad guys.

    Awesome thanks!!

What's so funny to me is that I was there and thought they were awesome and the best band of the night (still do!) and a friend of mine who ran into Stone reported that he said "man we really ripped it during the soundcheck... but we weren't really that happy with our performance!" I was like "what the f**k -- you guys rocked!"

it was a great show, needless to say PJ was by far heads above the other bands honouring the who by way of theeir intensity and renditions of the who's tunes.

Only downside was Much More Music's (for those who watched it in Canada) treatment of the broadcast. The commercial breaks were overly long and the commercials themselves too numerous and repetitive from commercial break to break. MMM's editing/slotting of commercials was shit poor also, without fail interupting or cutting off some of the back-stage banter sequences as the performers came off the stage...again just pure shit. The upside is i don't watch MMM and won't have to worry about this again.
