"Last time I think we played that song here was like, a long time ago, and there was a bonfire in the back and people were like throwing each other into it...very exciting days but a huge fucking relief that that's not how it is tonight..." Ed Irvine Night 1 2003, after Deep
I wish the broadcast wouldn't have cut out Won't Get Fooled Again, The Seeker and You Better, You Bet. Oh well...I saw it live so I got that going for me...which is nice!
no livin in a rut? my fav.
*~Pearl Jam will be blasted from speakers until morale improves~*
Both my mom and dad agree that Pearl Jam did incredibly well tonight - and my dad only likes one or two PJ songs and hates them otherwise. They did think The Who was better, though, seeing as they grew up with them - I do think PJ did better than them, too, though, and whoever quipped about Pete being the only member left if Roger tried to sing Reign like Eddie did, you are a funny man.
Is it just me or is this post rambling?
Thanks EPOTTSIII!

yea my dad liked the pearl jam stuff. he didn't realize they were so old tho haha. He loved The Who though... and then proceeded to explain to me why he can't really hear so well out of his left ear: DEEP PURPLE LIVE!
you'll need a program (such as winrar which is free) to extract the .rar - it's like a .zip file if you know what that is.

thanks for the tip.
So I see the show is 2 hrs long. Where (approx.) do they show up. Hour in, half hour in...?
As for all the bands that paid tribute, there's no doubt that Pearl Jam got the loudest cheers from the crowd. Am I right?
I thought all the bands really rocked hard tonight actually. The Flaming Lips (another band I really like) really tore it up. So did the Foo Fighters.
The Who were great, too! Pete Townsend fucking rocks!!!!

About an hour in.
About 1-hour in. On my DVR, Sean Penn announces them at the 62 minute mark.
And speaking of Penn, loved his little wise-crack about video channels "selling out".

Thank ya' much!
Of course. They'll be on youtube in a matter of hours anyways. If you have a better version, post it up.
No one outside US could see even The Real Me!
If you Do that...I would love you wildly.

All you need is Pear Jam in Brazil!
Oh, and Love to!
Peace, Love, Share.
You did it.
What were the other songs they did (which didn't make the broadcast)?
IMHO, the Who sounded pretty rough.
