For drinks, I'd go to Goose Island CLybourne...actually has free parking available and they have some very tasty brews!!!!

Not to mention, this location is said to be closing at th eend of the year due to lease $ increase.
You can also catch me there, oh 3 times a week. :D

I'm wondering what places are fairly close to the Auditorium Theatre. Does anyone know now which places are within a close proximity?

    Miller's Pub is close.

    Bump...just a few days away!!
  • I live around Chicago, and personally, deep dish does nothing for me. I hate it actually.

I don't think anyone mentioned anything Asian? Joy Yee's is a good Pan-Asian place. The food is good, but mostly I go for the bubble tea--which if you've never had, I would strongly recommend trying it.

So after reading through this thread, I saw only two suggestions for sushi.. Are there anymore good sushi places in Chicago? It scares me to go to random sushi places so hopefully someone can mention a place they go to regularly.. Any suugestions??

Close-ish to downtown & the Auditorium theater (not walking but $10 or less cab ride):

The best sushi in Chicago when I lived there 3 years ago (a little further away but a cab could easily get you back and forth, or take blue line to Division and walk like 10 min?)

    Enjoy!

there are tons of sushi places throughout the city. I just named a few of the popular, my cousin works at Japonais and there's celebrities in there all the time.
    check out this list...http://citysbest.aol.com/chicago/best-dining/sushi/
Akai Hanna is REALLY good but its outside the city and one that I used to go to all the time but didn't make the list is Sushi Samba

Japonais one of the trendiest places to go to in the city. Great visuals, beautiful people, overpriced, but good food.

Go to Billy Goat Tavern on Wells and La Salle for breakfast or lunch. Cheezborger!
If you're gonna be in town for awhile, check out Stefano's near Lawrence and Damen. Best. Pizza. Ever.

My 2 favorites are Joe's Stone Crab and Weber. Both are fantastic! The Joe's in Vegas is great too, but not as great as the one in Chicago.

Is it now possible to eat here without making reservations ahead of time? As in over a year as I remember. It's been a couple of years, though.

Ate at the Italian Village after Lollapalooza. It was some dank food for sure.

that place is miserable! Well hey at least you enjoyed it...

I am pretty picky when it comes to 'good places' to eat in Chicago, because I've had all the best the city offers, and I have to say that a lot of these I completely agree with a lot of these recommendations... enjoy our lovely city and walk around as much downtown and the lake front as possible!!!!

Bennigans (a couple blocks north of the venue on Michigan) is also a pretty neat place to eat if you're just wanting a burger and some brew

um, this place closed down...does not exist anymore FYI!
