    Oooooh. tough one.

    Let's see then:

Modest Mouse - Moon And Antarctica (2000)
    Tool - Lateralus (2001)
Mars Volta - Deloused In The Comatorium (2003)
Mars Volta - Frances The Mute (2005)
QOTSA - Songs For The Deaf (2002)
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Abbatoir Blues/Lyre Of Orpheus (2004)
    System Of a Down - Mesmerize (2005)
Marilyn Manson - Holy Wood (2000)
Motorpsycho - Let Them Eat cake (2000)
    Sigur Ros - ( ) (2002)

No Pearl Jam actually. But that's because that none of their great releases has been in the 2000s. They put out good records, and are still my nuber 1 band, but album-wise it's been a while since they hit gold. I would have nominated Benaroya Hall though, had I been allowed.

And 2000 was a good year, I can see now. Didn't pick up on much of it until later though.

And lastly, anyone anywhere should try to get hold of something of Motorpsycho. They are undeservedly underappreciated internationally, because they are Norwegian. But Let Them Eat Cake, Trust Us, Timothy's Monster and Demon Box is a string of records humbling to anyone, ranging from Demon Box' dark metal to Let Them Eat Cake's more upbeat jazzy feel.
A link to allmusic's asessment of them. without any reviews until their last album, which was far from their best. http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&token=ADFEAEE57917D34BA87620D79D3345DDE353FA06CA4EFB87126E495AD1A9374BDF0446E664D695CCB0E577B066ADFF2EA11607D9CAE75CFDD9764C40&uid=CAW030511240809&sql=11:oe61mpef9f1o~T2

Apparently I am one of the few who finds With Teeth to be horribly mediocre and unremarkable. . .

Particularly I don't find it mediocre in a general view (maybe if you compare it to NIN's previous work, but even then I'm not sure if "mediocre" would be the word I'd use), but definitely is not one of the best in these last 5 years.
