HELLO JAMILY!!! My computer has been down for a long, long time. My gracious h.s. buddy has granted me access just in time to find out the meetup/fundraiser info for Fri.'s show :-). Can't wait to see you all again, I've had a terrible year (lost my dad/imperfect hero,..seperated from my husband, etc.) and have needed this show worse than ever b4 in my life. I've been attending since...'93! Can't wait to rock out with 5 v 1 again!! IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN BRING TO HELP OUT??? I've got a small approx. 4 x2 ft. fold up table...I'll just pack it. And damn... what fun! First day had us there late, and in the LAME parking lot. Turns out it was LOT 2 that we should've been in. Next time we'll know better! For those of you who tried to find us, we were by where the train-trolly thing let out.
5 Against 1 and Matt Cord/WMMR seriously hooked us up. Without them I don't think people would have found us; 5v1 played some awesome sets and put out great energy and vibe! Matt & WMMR hooked us up with an INSANE amount of raffle merchandise... I can't say enough for what they did for us. And more props to Ben/Blind3 with the signed Donovan McGann (?) helmet and Bill PatricSaintIII for the McCready autographed place/date book. Frank/PJ2k3 was the ROCK STAR of the weekend, providing the tent and table for both days. Thank you so much for preventing 3rd degree sunburns, much needed table space and everything else. Kai & Eric manned the table like seasoned fundraiser pros! You guys rocked!
Overall, despite the bad location, we all raised over $2,000+ for the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. WOOOOO!!
On a personal note, it was so nice to see so many friends again and meet new ones...instead of just two amazing shows, it was one giant amazing experience that'll forever be in my memories
Urs it was sooo nice to meet you in person finally!! You are such a beautiful girl! Janet, again, didn't get to hang as much as I would've liked but I hope your bro had a great re-popping! Ziggy, you're gonna rock DC & MSG2! Chrom awesome of you to rock the Yield flag again! Mo & Joe.. so happy for your lottery wins! Don't forget to share your photos! Nixon in Camden rocked the DIRTY FRANK! Ben, it was nice to actually get to talk to you for a bit without running around like a lunatic. At least security was real cool about letting us in without problems. But I guess you can't complain about $2000 raised. It was a great time, and a pleasure meeting everyone. Unfortunately I will not be heading toward DC, but I will see all of you at the pre-parties in NYC.
Had a great time being at the fundraiser and listening to 5 vs 1. Lets do it again at the DC show, for some reason Im looking forward to this show the most.
