    Indeed.

Is it just me or is Decoration Day an awesome song? The lyrics, the song, singing, and the amazing 2 minute guitar solo at the end...wow!

I can listen to this song 10 times a day no joke, "cause I'd fight til the last Lawson's last living day".

Yep, and it's supposedly a true story too (about the feud between the Lawsons and the Hills). And Isbells quote on the end of the song: "Barbe and the boys turned it into a tornado"
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

That false ending is great...then the guitars come in for that solo. One of my favorites.

Totally agree, and wish I got to hear that song live. Maybe next time, but it looks like they may not be touring as a band for a while.

I was just looking around on Pollstar.com and spotted a Jason Isbell solo date here in Central Florida.

His album, for me, is the piece of music I am most looking forward to in 2007...

I am really psyched about his solo record, as well as Pattersons. I mean, no DBT this year (at least not much) but solo records from two of the 3 songwriters more than makes up for it.

Yeah, I've been reading rumblings over on the Nine Bullets board.

My parents are driving back to Michigan tomorrow after being here five weeks (for the birth of PissBottleBaby). I made them a DBT mix for the 9 hour drive back home.

I've been talking them up to my dad for a while, so he asked me to make a cd for him.

I hope he enjoys it. He was born in Humbolt, Tennessee (the strawberry captial of the world) and likes to drink beer, so it seems like a natural fit. ;)

I'm hoping that Isbell & Patterson schedule some solo shows outside of the South. I'd love to get the chance to see them acoustic in a small venue.

Course on a PJ board, I suppose its not right for me to bitch about someone only touring in the south.

I got my mom into the Truckers awhile back. She grew up on Southern rock back in the 70's and one day she asked me what I was listening to when I had DBT on, so I handed her a CD and that was pretty much that.

Yeah, that was my line of thinking...I've been talking them up a lot around him for the past 6 months.

When does Isbell's solo album come out?

    That's the million dollar question.

All I've heard is Spring '07.
