libragirl, trust in your man and trust in me - they are worth every single penny

some radio stations are having pre-sales as well - you just have to be a member of their workforce

    that's what I'm doing

I was going to pay the $60 for the membership so that I could get the tickets before hand, but then I got an email saying I can get them tomorrow morning at 10 - good enough for me

Well for you im sure it's worth it...you are a huge fan. Ah..so how did you bypass the membership thing? That's cool.

oh I thought I explained that - I did send you a pm

anyway, one of the local radio stations is having a pre-sale tomorrow and I'm a member, so they sent me the info

I figure it should be good enough to buy the $95 range tickets - I'm not paying $200 a ticket, that's for sure

I've seen them 13 times, I don't need to be all that close :D

I'm not familiar with the venue there, but I sat at the lawn for them at the ecentre in Camden last time they were here and it was incredible

    just unbelievable

they are so good, so so so so so good

but I understand, believe me there are only a few bands out there that I would put a lot of money into seeing - and basically, it's the Who and PJ and that's about it :D

    What you said. ;)

For me it's Pearl Jam, the Who and Bruce Springsteen, and that's pretty much it. And like I've posted elsewhere, even Pearl Jam can't touch the Who when Pete catches fire. I've been known to go to Pearl Jam concerts and stare at Matt Cameron the entire time; with the Who, it's a given that I'll be staring at Pete Townshend the length of the show, even if he's not doing anything particularly interesting. If you're thinking of seeing them but aren't sure it's worth the cost, let me assure you: it SO is. They're utterly phenomenal in concert, and I can't stress enough how it's money well-spent. You'll see. :)

I just read an article on Yahoo and it includes some extra dates. The dates are Portland on October 8th at the Rose Garden. Seattle on the 11th at Key Arena and Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl on November 5th. Does anybody else think PJ might open in Seattle? They have a break in October and they haven't played the Key in almost 4 years.

the 8th they're playing vancouver, which i'm going to get tix for, but that would kick ass if they added a seattle date!!! :)

How come my 11th rows were 230 with membership split? I just checked the London prices and the most expensive tix were 198.00

Your right, I meant to say the Portland date was the 10th, not the 8th.

I'm wrong. It turns out I had row M in section 5. I thought these were 13th row from the stage (sry thought it was 12th before). It turns out each section starts at row A. I had to cancel my tickets. I just paid an arm and a leg for row 11 tickets - inside row - Pete's side.

4 tickets and a membership were over $900 - guess I'm not eating for a couple months.

That's what my friend said too after his card got charged over 900.00 bucks. I still feel iffy about it, but I'm sure it will be worth it.

They're coming to London, but I can't shell out 70 bucks for nosebleed seats, or 198 for good ones.

    :(

I saw them Saturday night also and if anyone's in ANY doubt, don't be, just go. Spend whatever it takes... they were right up there with PJ at the Astoria for me - absolutely mindblowing stuff! I do not say any of that lightly - they were just THAT good.
    The Astoria??? Orgazmic!
    Verona??? it's all surmountable
Dublin 23.08.06 "The beauty of Ireland, right there!"

I love hearing all these great reviews. I have NO DOUBT about how good they are going to be.

they do not fail, out of the 13 times I've seen them, there was only one bad show and that was because of the sound in the building and where I was sitting.

I got great seats for the Philly show - section 123 - right next to the stage, row 23. I much prefer side stage seats to the floor so needless to say I am THRILLED. :)

    I can not wait.

I love The Who but man this is depressing,.. all that money to see a rock concert?

    I'll never see those fuckers

$900? You didn't have to get the most expensive seats, that's crazy. I mean, I'm the biggest Who fan on earth, and I wouldn't pay that. That's just absurd. I got 4 great seats for the Philly show for $442.00. I'm in the section right next to the stage - up 23 rows. Those are GREAT seats.

$900 Yikes, and it's not even a charity show. wow

but you'll enjoy it, trust me and maybe you will forget the hit to your wallet :)
