Hopefully Ed will cover something he's never done before. I'm more interested in seeing what song Neil does. It'd be awesome if he decides to bring Crazy Horse along!

    agreed.
hope ed gives a new Bruce cover a try.
Really hope we get to see/hear this sometime- its not being televised at all.

I'm looking forward to all the listed artists' covers....,
with the exception of Faith Hill ,
and Juanes ( dont know who that is and never heard of them )

Juanes is a weird pick. He's a Colombian singer and pretty popular in South Texas and probably anywhere else there is a large hispanic community. I've heard several of his songs before. This one is probably his most famous/popular. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeScuiSMqmQ

Anyone listen to Bruce on Steve's Underground Garage show? Just heard Part 1 and it is incredible. Love hearing them talk about their influences, especially The Beatle parts. :D

After I listen to the other two parts, I'll have to go back and check out other episodes of the Underground Garage.

Since I've been reading the "Bruce" book and read about his Steel Mill days, I've wanted to see if there was any recordings of them. Found some on YouTube. I would love to see Bruce make an album like his Steel Mill days.

    Here's "Goin' Back to Georgia"

I really hope he releases the September 30, 1985 show on CD and/or DVD/Blu-ray for the BITUSA reissue, seeing as they filmed the show. First time I saw the "War" video from the show.

That's awesome! What a first tour for you!

His reissue packages have been great. The Darkness one, though, blows my mind how incredible it is. I can't wait for The River one. Hoping for a doc like the first two, CD/DVD/Blu-ray of either the Arizona show or NYE show, and maybe even a full performance of the album like they did for Darkness. Also, maybe a disc of outtakes or unreleased stuff that wasn't on "Tracks"; like "Held Up Without a Gun." His hasn't disappointed me yet with his reissue packages.

Also can't wait for a Nebraska reissue. Will he include the original demo tape he made for the band? The full electric version (I hope!!).

After a 1976 gig in Memphis, Bruce Springsteen hopped a Graceland gate at 3AM, hoping to meet his idol, Elvis Presley. Just as he was about to knock on the front door, though, a guard stopped him, and Springsteen was escorted off the property.

    tough call.
no more " E Street " either way.
I like more songs off of Human Touch ( '57 Channels' , 'Roll Of The Dice' , 'Wish I were Blind' )
however , I like the first time Bruce collaborating on song writing with the Professor Roy Bittan on "Lucky Town " . I like the tracks 'Better Days' and 'Lucky Town' on Lucky Town.

Also, I cannot help but laugh when I think about Randi Jackson from American Idol playing in Bruces band during this time.

I would agree. Better Days and Lucky Town are two great songs to open the album. Human Touch is a good song but the rest of the album doesn't really hit me. Overall, two incredibly average albums by the Boss. I really only listen to these albums when I am ripping through his discography from start to finish.

Speaking of outtakes, "Happy" came on shuffle on my iPod last night and now I can't stop listening to it. For any other artist, it would have been a huge hit. For Bruce, just an outtake.

    just reas this on FB.
    No offense, but
I'd be very disappointed if I were an Australian attending.

Since Stevie Van Zandt's filming commitments to his highly successful television show Lillyhammer will keep him off stage for the upcoming Australian tour dates, Bruce Springsteen has invited Tom Morello: The Nightwatchman to sit in temporarily on guitar. Keeping to my commitment to listen to the albums* after I read their chapters, it's time for the double shot of "Human Touch" and "Lucky Town." I find it a drag to listen to "Human Touch" because it feels like a whole day listening to it.

*Only studio albums, so official live releases and compilations (such as "Tracks") are excluded from this listening experience.
