Anyone catch the collaboration of Bruce and The Stones
    doing " Tumbling Dice " ?
Bruce appeared to be starstruck , like we are with him or Eddie,...

From "Mary's Place" to "My City of Ruin" is a phenomenal run of songs. Why, Bruce, are you so great?

    Watched today:

Wings for Wheels doc. Love the insight to the making of BTR.
Darkness DVD 2: Darkness performance and the archival footage. Great stuff.

I think Bruce may be the master at box sets. Can't wait for a River one! :D

I reckon they're going to skip The River and do Born In The USA next. 30th anniversary in 2014, we'll probably get a Wrecking Ball Tour DVD next Christmas. The River would be awesome though, imagine what they could do, remastered album, a disc of the album The Ties That Bind which got shelved in favour of the double, one of those epic shows (the August 1981 show for the Vietnam Vets would be nice), and they've still a fair few outtakes. It's just whether it'd sell well enough.

The Ties That Bind would have been:

    1. The Ties That Bind (3:37)
    2. Cindy (2:28)
    3. Hungry Heart (3:28)
    4. Stolen Car (4:33)
    5. To Be True (3:54) - aka "Be True"
    6. The River (4:54)
    7. You Can Look (But You Better Not Touch) (2:12)
    8. The Price You Pay (5:51)
    9. I Wanna Marry You (3:31)
    10. Loose Ends (4:08)

I think he'd do The River next. He didn't do a 30th anniversary one of Darkness because of how busy he was. I agree with you that we'll probably get a Wrecking Ball DVD for next Christmas.

I like what you said about him including "The Ties That Bind." I would love it if he included that in the set. I would like to see if he has a few more outtakes that haven't been officially released on "Tracks", like a studio version of "Held Up Without a Gun."

I haven't heard of that August '81 show for the veterans, but I've thought maybe he would include a DVD of the November 5, 1980 show in Arizona or the famous New Year's Eve show of 1980. One thing I would like for him to do is maybe release a CD of the live show he includes as a DVD, as well.

I think a live CD would actually be better than the DVD/Blu-Ray, most people probably only watch those things once or twice.

As for what there is, who knows, the Lost Masters bootleg series in the early 90s outed a lot:

    http://www.guitars101.com/forums/f90/br ... 15143.html

1976-1982 was a hugely creative period for Bruce and the band, in addition to Darkness, The River, what would become Nebraska/Born In The USA, there was also the album with Gary US Bonds, Dedication, and they contributed quite a lot to Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes' albums of the late 70's too.

I have the Hartford show on repeat. Still can't believe what I witnessed that night. It was like a religious awakening, only that Bruce and the band are a traveling church. I'm not much of a religious person, but the feeling I got at the concert must be what religious people experience when they go to church and pray and hear a sermon that affects them.
