E Street Shuffle would make the perfect set closer every show.

I thought Bruce was amazing that last night on Fallon! So much energy.

I've been listening to Wrecking Ball for about a week or so...i'd rank it as better than Working on a Dream (his worst E Street effort IMO), but nowhere near as good as Magic which i consider to be pretty much a masterpiece.

Magic is a great album. I got to say though I can't wait to pick up Wrecking Ball tomorrow. The four songs I have heard so far I love.

My vote goes for just ok.

Better than Working on a Dream, but not as good as any of his other E Street albums.

I've got a nice pair of side stage seats for the Albany show... anyone else here going?

Wanted to do MSG (he always kills there) and still might if I can score a pair during the ticket drop (that got me side stage for the "River" show in 2009!). Tickets were gone for that show within minutes, though...

I don't think Wrecking Ball is officially an e street album. I agree with you that the e street albums are better (except for working on a dream) but I still like like Wrecking Ball a lot.

Really? It sure seems like an E-Street album to me.

When i think non- E-Street i think Nebraska, TGTJ and Devils & Dust...very solo efforts. (and of course the early 90s two shot and Seeger sessions).

    It's different but it's terrific.

Right now, "Death to my Hometown" is my favorite on the album right now with "Land of Hope and Dreams" in 2nd.

I totally agree. I may not love this one as much as some of his others...but HUGE respect for him trying something different. The man (and his band) are just insanely talented.

I've been thinking about this for awhile...if i was to rank the E-Street albums. Some of these are "more" E Street than others for sure.

    1. Born to Run
    2. Darkness on the Edge of Town
    3. Magic
    4. Born in the USA
    5. Tunnel of Love
    6. The Rising
    7. The River
    8. Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.
    9. The Wild, The Innocent & the E Street Suffle
    10. Wrecking Ball
    11. Working on a Dream
    Shows: Montreal 98, Barrie 98, Montreal 00, Montreal 03, Montreal 05, Ottawa 05, Toronto 06, Vancouver Night 1 08 (EV), Vancouver Night 2 08 (EV), MSG1 08, MSG2 08, Montreal Night 2 08 (EV), Toronto Night 1 08 (EV), Toronto 09, Hartford 11 (EV), Ottawa 11, Ottawa 16, Ottawa 22.

IMO, I wouldn't consider Tunnel of Love a proper E Street Band album, as the members were used sparingly and Wrecking Ball only has a few members of the band playing on it. That's just my opinion.

You could certainly make that point either way...thats why i said some are more E Street than others.

I believe that with Tunnel of Love Bruce basically did that one on his own but then brought in band members to flesh it out in the end right?

Yeah, I believe so. I think he used a drum machine on most songs and then had Max come in.

I guess I would agree with this list. But just 'cause I would agree that the other albums are better, doesn't mean Wrecking Ball is bad. I love Wrecking Ball, but look what we're ranking it against. Those albums are ALL freakin' classics!

After the Grammys and Jimmy Fallon, I'm convinced that the new shit is gonna be way better when played live.

Still gotta give Uncle Bruce major props for making new and relavant music after all these years! Bring on the tour!!!

I don't think this is a proper E Street album. From the liner notes:

Stevie Van Zandt only plays mandolin on one song
    Nils Lofgren is not credited
Max Weinberg only drums on three tracks

I've only gotten into Springsteen in the last 5-6 years, so I'm no expert.
