it is a nice looking poster. I know the mystery tubes were disappointing for this one, but still looks sharp to me.0

Wish I'd thought about that a long time ago! The best grouping I have is of my comic commissions... Not the best photo due to the time of day and not sure if this picture will post here (from Facebook), but let's see...marjen said:Yeah when I started framing them me and my framer worked out a couple standard sizes. Then we just as just the mats accordingly. This way all the frames can line up. I am a little OCD about that kind of thing
(originals are at CAF if anyone's interested: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerydetailsearch.asp?aty=2&gcat=16525)
I love this too... I have done something very similar in my stairwell, but it is really dark in there... figuring out a better way to light it will be my next mini-home-improvement project, I think...Brane_of_JFK said:Think I already posted some pics of these framed, but not yet hung up. Just got them up this past weekend.
I believe I'm within my rights here to say, "well-hung."
And congrats on this!! I have my copy of this framed that I got at the show... really wish I'd held out for the sig version - that's gold, right? Looks wonderful! And... double-matted? Really looks good! *thumbs up*x Joe Ls2 x said:

Just picked up my framed Amsterdam II poster and it looks magnificent. Paid quite a bit for it too but it was worth every penny so I'll be back for the other five posters to get framed in the not-so-distant future!2012 – Manchester II

Just picked up my first framed posters from Michael's, pretty happy with the job they've done. This could become an expensive obsession!

All very nice, though I find Michaels to be insanely expensive when it comes to getting anything framed and/or matted. If not for a 40% off coupon, the cost of just a double-mat job for a Ray Lewis collage I put together (last game ticket and 2 pics I took) would have been nearly $80 - for the mats ONLY (I bought the frame separately somewhere else). I'd much, much rather buy the framing supplies from americanframe.com and put it together myself for way less than 1/2 the cost.andyfarrimond said:Just picked up my first framed posters from Michael's, pretty happy with the job they've done. There was a 60% discount offer at Michael's - it still cost a fortune. I will definitely be trying americaframe.com for the Isle of Wight poster which is next in line.Brane_of_JFK said:

Trust me, you won't be disappointed. And it shouldn't cost more than $75-85 shipped (depending on the matting you want) for a 3-foot long poster...andyfarrimond said:

After finding out about these prices I think I'm going to buy frames with the good glass and let my friend do it.NYC 06/24/08-Auckland 11/27/09-Chch 11/29/09-Newark 05/18/10-Atlanta 09/22/12-Chicago 07/19/13-Brooklyn 10/18/13 & 10/19/13-Hartford 10/25/13-Baltimore 10/27/13-Auckland 1/17/14-GC 1/19/14-Melbourne 1/24/14-Sydney 1/26/14-Amsterdam 6/16/14 & 6/17/14-Milan 6/20/14-Berlin 6/26/14-Leeds 7/8/14-Milton Keynes 7/11/14-St. Louis 10/3/14-NYC 9/26/15

Another vote for American Frame.com. I have done about 15 posters through them. Their prices are great and their kits are easy to put together. Takes about 15 minutes on average.0

I've done about 15-20 as well, but mine definitely take longer, usually 30-45 mins. I always take my time getting the print lined up correctly on the back of the mat. Plus I use acid-free paper and tape over the corners & edges of the print to the mat to keep it from moving in the frame.Post edited by Brane_of_JFK on0 -
Do you mind if I ask which type of frames you use? The "poster" frames look weird to me, and I'm not sure what the benefit is of wood vs. metal.Brane_of_JFK said:

Testing to see if I got this to work, hopefully it can be seen. The frame is a pewter color, it's coming across almost gold in the pic though.
Just picked this up last week, now to find a good home for it on my wall.Post edited by wall232 onNYPJ0
