Anyone ever try something like this for posters? I just saw someone post a pic using it for comic art and I think it would be very cool for posters and save space! The plastic is removable so I would swap with UV resistant plastic and archival backing boards.
This makes me think back to the 80's when I stood at the end cap at KMart, flipping through posters. Shoot, it worked for the retail world so why not your house? If you can rock it out, why not? Just leave yourself enough room on either side to be able to have the display open like a book on your wall.
The first time I ever saw a fully naked lady was in one of those displays. It was in the back of a shady record store and I was looking for a Green Day poster.....I was in like 6th grade lol...back before kids could just find one in 2 seconds on their phones
You, my friend have done an amazing job of decorating your house!!!! From your framing choices to your poster locations, just a masterful job! It has helped me with making some of my own decorating decisions regarding my PJ basement.

How do you guys store those long posters? I just got my first one from the Pixies last night and I don't have room to frame and display yet I don't want to keep it rolled so tight in its tube. All of my other posters in my portfolio....this is the only odd duck

Hmm cool...thanks! Do they sell oversize mylar bags as well? I would imagine some ink may rub off with multiple posters inside
Line the prints nicely with craft paper and you shouldn't have an issue. I've stored prints of mine that are anywhere from $75 to $900 without any worry. I've never had any ink or smearing issues.
Couple questions... 1) Has anyone ever had a screen-printed poster stick to the glass/plastic over time in a frame without a mat?
2) Whats the minimum or standard amount of mat that should surround the poster? How do you guys decide?
I1. I don't think that should happen, so long as it's good glass and in a controlled environment. But certainly having a mat would minimize it. I've had some posters in some basic frames sitting in a closet to flatten them over the span of 2+ years. I just pulled them out the other day and they are fine. 2. I think you should have at least close to an inch. If you look at the DMB poster above, I have 15/16ths on the sides and 2" on the top and bottom for the blue mat. The orange is an extra 1/3" away. I wouldn't want to go any smaller personally.
