Got my Cracker Jack poster back today. Hard to tell from this image but the blue surrounding it matches the blue on the poster.0

Can someone tell me a typical quote on a custom frame (let's say one matte)??
A buddy told me he was quoted a little over $300 for one poster to be custom framed.
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??? I have about 10 PJ posters that are all black frame/black matte and after seeing these I am thinking of investing in a few to be custom framed.
But $300 FUCKING DOLLARS!!!!! No effing way.___________________________________________________________

I have had all of mine done by a guy in the 10C who owns a frame shop (The Hoff). I have paid about $160 per print and he does top quality work with acid free mats and UV glass (so I know that my prints are safe).
He does poster framing specials a couple times per year when he offers that price.0 -

For a normal gig poster with 1 matte opening, I'd say between $120 to $180 (depending on the frame, matte & glass you pick) would be about right!
I only paid $174 for this one:
and it has 3 mattes:
PLUS a CUSTOM cut in the upper corner:
I only use UV Non Glare Glass too!!
Even this frame job was under $300:
This one was around $275

Yeah I like the fact he is a member of 10C, so you know he is gonna take care of them well. I also like supporting a 10C member's business. I ship mine from Canada to him when he runs these specials....does great work2005 - London

Looking for some help - figured you'd be the right people to ask.
I finally tracked down an older (2007) poster I'd been looking for for a while now (it's a white stripes item)...
Anyway, when it finally showed up last night, I realized that it's like 26" x 30"... i.e. will not fit in one of those picturesque presentation cases from Jerry's....I've also got others in existing cases that have that 36" dimension, and really should be moved to a larger storage folder to better protect them...
Have any recommendations for something that would store oversized posters? for now it's just back in the tube, but I don't want to leave it there for long...
thanks!Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.0 -

thanks!
Here's what I use to store my oversized posters:
It's a 36" x 48" Black Foam Core Display Board made by Elmer's...the Glue People!!
It's one of those things you'd use for your science fair display :ugeek:
You can pick one up at Staples for around $15.00.
I use brown craft paper between the poster and foam core to give a little more protection,
but this works PERFECT for me!!
