That looks great. Interesting to see all of the different combos people have come up with for this print. Picked mine up today. Happy with it but it was pretty hard to decide on the matting for me.

I like yours too, the yellow detail goes great with poster...it's cool to see everyone's version, I just let my framer make suggestions to me and I went with his artist eye...pretty fun process, picking up another one on Friday (10c art poster)

My version of the Pittsburgh poster...framer did a double matte (red to match the ink, white to bring out the colors, and then we decided on a grey frame to match the grey ink. Also, he had a great idea for the back print, which he cut out the back piece and covered it in clear acrylic so that the back poster text is viewable if I wanted to show someone.

If you are in the Pittsburgh area and need a quality framer, please let me know and I'll give you a great person.

I made a big "portfolio" out of refrigerator box cardboard.....I let the poster "relax" out of the tube for a few days and then slide it rolled side down into my low buck portfolio, which then goes between a mattress and box spring for as long as it takes.
That sounds like a great idea, thanks!

I escaped it...a life wasted...I'm never going back again

Similarly, I use a tri-fold project display board which I interleaf sheets of glassine paper between each poster. It flattens them out and it's a very inexpensive alternative for archival storage.

WOW! Really cool, Dave. We have 2 huge portfolios that are under the bed. The flat file is great to put other collectibles on top and don't need to bend over to look through posters! Great find! I'm jealous - what else is new! :)

I need to add all mine. But I should get the BDO and EV Aus ones framed first. Got quite the rad collection from all the shows I've seen.

I just received a white version of the Phoenix, AZ concert poster. I was thinking about picking up the red one as well. Maybe frame them both similarly and display them side by side or one above the other. Although I don't know how that would turn out. Thoughts anyone?

Anyone know of any Good but reasonably Priced Framers in Perth? I want to Finally get my 2006 Perth Poster framed :)

I'm from Perth and have used a couple of framers before - Blue Lizard in Joondalup and also one in Sorrento (can't find the name at the moment). I'd be grateful for any recommendations as well, I have 10 to frame and not sure how to approach it, can't afford to do all 10 at once so might hit some up and see if they'll do me some sort of deal.
Ok Thanks for that I'll check them out...I did see one in Mt Lawley when I went past so I may Check that one out as well that was called "Artfolio" :)

I hear ya! I've just gotten the bug myself. My first one is currently being framed (Amsterdam 2, 2012), one is being dropped off at a framer probably this coming weekend (Antwerp 2006). One poster arrived today (Philly 1, 2013, after paying quite a bit on customs charges :( ).
And I just ordered two more from the shop, now also getting posters for shows I went to, but don't like very much (the posters that is, for Amsterdam 1, 2012 and Oakland, 2013).

Though I fear that my holy grail will be out of my hands for quite a while. Or otherwise only for a hefty price. That's Honolulu, 2006, the show they opened for U2.

Damn you, Pearl Jam and your addictive posters!!!

The two BOH prints are absolutely stunning Dave! The frames do 100% justice to the art and vice versa. Really impressed by the craftsmanship. I may be happy with my own simplistic approach but I've got to say thanks for coming in and shitting all over the competition and wiping your ass on our receipts... 8-X

Thanks Joe & Brandon for the gifts...they are gonna look GREAT in my home!!

Thanks Buddy...I appreciate the kind words!!
I love the simple black frames too and use that approach for all of the posters from the shows I attend.
I use the same black frame and do a black top matte with a colored core PLUS one or two accent color mattes under the top matte.
I display ALL of these posters in my bedroom
For posters from shows that I didn't attend but really like for the art...
PLUS my AP's, tour posters, or gifts from others, I like to do special frame jobs & these hang in my living room or hallway!!

Here's a link to a Photobucket "Story" of some of my more recent frame jobs...
you can see that I'm a BIG fan of the black frame look too:

I don't really look at this as a "competition" though...
just a place all of us "Poster Freaks" can come and see what everyone else is doing with their frame jobs!!
And NEXT time...I'll try to clean up my mess when I leave!!

Just had this completed this week. I'm thrilled with how it came out.

Looks amazing, especially with that autograph! Just had to over pay for one of these, but love the print, so I couldn't resist.
