Jimmy, I go to michael's to get my pics framed. I just used a 70% off coupon. Get the reg. glass instead of the uv and it cost me $160 for the MIA poster. Usually around Christmas the have a 75% off coupon. Keep an eye out

Thanks. I have seen their coupons around online. Was hoping to find a little guy but if not any port in a storm!

Have your experiences with Michaels been good?

Michael's may be fine, but I have had them ruin some stuff for me. I stopped going there years ago, found a professional framer who is really OCD about his craft, and have never been happier. Also, going with a professional will give you infinite more options than what can be pieces together at Michael's or hobby Lobby.

I couldn't agree more. I took something to a Jeffrey Allen's once and they damaged it beyond repair. Stick with the local professonal stores and stay away from the big box chains... It may cost a little more to go with the independents...but they do the job right in my opinion! And, my local framer gives discounts when framing multiple items. You may want to check around for that too.

Agreed. I bring a few things in at a time, and for normal mats and frames, it runs about $170 without needing a coupon. If I go overboard and make the order more involved, it costs more of course, but trust me, long-term, better to have a pro.

I went overboard on this one:

Thanks for all the feedback guys! I may give Michaels a try with one while the search for an independent shop continues.

Appreciate it. Just be careful with Michael's We had a good framer there for a while, but she left, and the person who took over poked a small hole in a rare Polish Pulp Fiction poster of mine that can't be replaced. Hopefully you have better personnel at your Michael's. Best of luck.

That is really kool Niko... almost makes me what to get my set out of the portfolio upstairs and do something with it...

    Really love Soto's work...

Really like both the moose that people posted as well... mine's in here somewhere too, further back, with a very similar color sequence...

Alright... since nobody else bit, i will.

What's the story behind this awesome piece?

Very jealous, love that whole set by BK... especially the Gynida.... I was at the New Orleans show, and have a S/N copy from BK, that would look great on my wall, but I'm not allowed to hang it....

I've been thinking and trying to find the best solution for this one in a long time now. It's making me crazy.

This looks like one frame with 2 side, 2 glass, right??
Please I need to see more details on this frame, if you have a time to take a more pics.

I have a lot's a problems with this frame and if I don't get all worked out I am not framing it :ugeek:
All wood prifile used to frame a poster are only painted on one side (at least in my shop)

What kind of frame did you use here???

Well :) The story is... fun :)

There was a guy on a polish PJ fan forum/site selling this poster, the guy was working backstage during Gdynia festival and got the poster signed back then. So there was me and that guy who wanted to buy it (the price was VERY good as for something like that) and we kinda started to "argue" about the poster because we both wanted it so much. But since i was quite new on the forum and was just after the summer shows, happy and full of positive feelings, didn't want to ruin the atmosphere on the forum (apparently everybody was watching the thread curious what's gonna happen :o:) ), I said to him 'take it, i'll pass on this one', and he bought it. Then, in the next few months, somehow, we became a very good friends :) And one day I got the tube in the mail. I guess you might have an idea what was in the tube :)
