got working on this as soon as I got home, white matt with Black lip, the art work is not straight or even so I had to level it off from the artists names on the bottom

Thanks for the reply. If you don't mind, can you tell me the negatives of dry mounting?

If the poster is of any value, dry mounting is not easily reversed. if you think you would ever re-sale a print dry mounting is a no-no.

But there are many better educated collectors on here that could prolly answer your questions in more technical terms.

Even if you're not interested in resale, the fact that dry mounting is more or less a one-way process may be important to you. Personally, I like to think I'm conserving the art a bit, even if I never intend to sell it.

That scene from hype where that guy is so cool that he guillotines an expensive poster saddens me. Not so much because of the value but because it's one less mint poster for someone to own and cherish.

Found another cheap frame this weekend… Doesn't EXACTLY fit, but makes the vines look like they're growing out of the matting… Not bad for $10! I forgot to take a picture of the final product. Will post sooon…

Just got the poster from my FIRST PEARL JAM SHOW at Seattle's Key Arena in '96 back from the framers:





Anyone else having a major problem with photobucket??
I keep getting an error message when trying to resize pictures...I really hate the size limitations on pictures for the forum!!! :ugeek:

It really works well… Just found a frame for my odd-sized Fargo print… It's the most I've had to spend on a frame yet, but $20 is cheap at half the price…

My framing professional suggested using the suede matte & the serpentine fillet as the first 2 levels!!
This one turned out GREAT & it's my FAVORITE one...

WOW this is great, I love that yellow line on black mat. I wish I had that kind stuff in my frame shop were I make my frames.

I have try to make a England theme here with red cross on white flag...those red cuts are really strong on the image all together, it's ok...maybe distract a little too much from the poster but it's fun
I always wanna have a fun with a frames :fp:

Soon EV Soto Brisbane and Melbourne set is coming and that is also one special frame

i went to a place that does custom framing and was going to have mine done, but when they told me the price i passed

Just decided to go with buying a few poster frames and going to attempt to do this myself :? Would you guys suggest getting it matted or not?
