anybody frame the adelaide 2009 quala bear poster yet?

    That's next on my list!

would love to see some ideas..!

There is definitely one of these done further back, can remember looking at it... would quote it for you, but I'm far too lazy to go digging back through... feel free to quote it when you find it though! I remember it being a nice framejob, with a ticket stub and a pick maybe? It definitely wasn't just the poster, ticket stub was included for sure...

I'm framing an Adelaide now as part of my PJ Poster Framing Special. I'm still working on all 75 frames, but in the next 2 weeks or so I should have photos online of many of the 75, including that one. :)

nothing fancy going on here - could only afford the basic frame and even then only with a discount. only my 3rd poster and the only show that i didn't actually go to (hence only having 3 in total). i couldn't let this one go unpurchased because it was love at first sight and i have a soft spot for canada.

Nice job, this was the first poster i bought, got it framed a couple of months ago, looks very similar to what you got done. Just don't know how to post pics on here, or would upload it.

    Very COOL poster though

Nice job on the easy street. It's really striking...

As for the rest of the collection... man... I thought my house was bad, but I'm going to show my girlfriend your collection next time she argues against me framing a new PJ print

Also, please let me know your exact address so I can come over steal all 3 of those EMEK's that are on your wall... :D

It might be simple, but it looks real sharp. I think putting it against that red wall really gives it a pop. I'm going to be redoing my Toronto sometime in the near future... i recently got an AP, and I want to upgrade the glass to to the anti-glare.... I only got the UV glass the first time round, and I really regret it...
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

If this has been posted my apologies but I read through about 60 pages on this post and I couldn't make it through the other 200. :D I have roughly 20 posters and I want to frame about 10 of them. I want to do them myself but I am starting this process from scratch. I am looking for some insight on the best way to approach this. I am thinking I need to invest in a good matt cutter. Any recommondations? Also, what is the best site to buy frames, matts, glass etc.? I started the process of looking but it is overwhelming. I like the sites that you can import your poster and test matt colors against them but my fear is the colors might not show true. Any insight for a newcommer in framing is greatly appreciated.

If you decide to have them professionally framed, I'll be starting up the next PJ Poster Group Framing Special list in upcoming weeks. We use only Bainbridge museum quality mats, TruVue Conservation Glass, Bainbridge museum quality foamboard, your choice of seven color stripe frames, and I personally color-match the poster to the mats before cutting, and I fit the artwork into the frames using archival corner holders so the poster has no adhesives touching it. But if you're looking for dirt cheap frames, there are less expensive methods to display them. And expect colors to be different on your screen than in person if you decide to go that route.

    Hope that helps!

    Thanks CJ,

I have seen your posts on here and your work is phenominal. I am very impressed. If I were to send it off I would certainly go that route. But I am thinking I want to get into doing this myself. Not to be cheap, but to make it a fun hobby. So I am looking for advice if I were to take this task on myself.

    Many thanks!

Yeah, I know it's too much, maybe over 50 frames in the house and working studio, my wife has a lot of understanding for my poster passion, only thing I can't put in the house are posters with scull's because children
Next year we are moving in to the new house and I have a project to do a glass wall in the shower for the poster...I just can't decide which one to put there :D

    Hey Matt,

Maybe a bunch of people shipping together to Oz wouldn't be so expensive? I don't know what framers in your country charge though.

No pics yet of cleveland. The majority of the posters are still being worked on, but those I've shipped already have been photographed. Since I want to display them well, I'm going to wait until they are all done, photographed and shipped, and then I'll put up great, clear photos of them all. It'll take some time, but I PROMISE, it WILL be worth the wait for the photos. :D

I'm sure it would push the price up enough to make it not worthwhile but thanks anyway.. some one suggested a local framer to me years ago but I can't remember who.
I'll do some research because I don't want to be dissapointed with the result..
