I get these done extremely cheap by a custom framer in town. After seeing what everyone else pays I feel pretty happy about how much I have paid. These are only a few of what I have done. Thanks for taking a look.

Thanks.... I wanted to do something cool with the Batman print and the frame is as close to the orange in the poster as you can get. It turned out well.0

Very cool collection.....0 -
yeah that batman really got me thinking. i may have to steal your ideas. actually its usually what i do with the posters that have multiple colors like that. use a frame or mat that matches one of the obscure colors on the print. its what i did with my hawaii 2006 ames, i actually used a dark orange to almost brown mat, its different but i think it looks great, plus it allowed me to use an all dark wood frame that reminds me of my life on maui.
i really dig the batman print framed like that...
i also like what you did with the EV east coast. i have both of these prints and they are about 4th and 5th in line for the framer...so im always looking for ideas. very nice job.
Question: are those pre-maid mats you folks are using archival? is the glass uv protective? or do you have to go custom to get these features?I shit and I stink, I'm real, join the club...0 -

I continue to be impressed by the EV Chicago print and how great it looks in so many different frame jobs. Its weird, the image itself doesnt speak to me, but as a framed piece it looks like incredible, impressive art. Congrats and enjoythe palms, in the breeze, still blow green
and the waves in the sea still absolute blue0 -

The mats that are used in all of my prints are custom along with the frames. The guy I use is awesome. My most expensive one was my Batman print which only cost me $90 and the rest run from $60-$70.0 -

First - well done my friend...these look very nice indeed...since you brought it up (and i'm always curious as well as to where to get the best deals on framing...) can I ask ball park what you're local framer is charging? not sure if you pay to get the uv glass (i've never understood why to do that unless its going to be in direct sun), but i know that drives up prices...runningforhome77 wrote:I have been reading this message board for a long long time and have never posted. Here's my latest add to the collection....I'm liking how it turned out...typically my taste is to tend towards picking browns in terms of frames and mats, which tend to go with the rest of my house...

I'm still struggling what to do with my batman and other ed solo posters from this summer as I'm not typically a black frame, white mat type...
The poster obsession continues...0 -

The second picture has to be the best location to "show off a framed poster" i've ever seen on the pit!0 -
bazzer wrote:The reason is because even if it's not in direct sun it will still fade, and even with UV glass it will still fade if kept in direct sun. It's just a matter of how much, and if you want to minimise that, why wouldn't you use UV glass?
Of course it will come down to personal preference and cost, but after having my '06 Hawaii klausen framed for almost two years now, with no uv glass and mostly in indirect sun, I'm sure glad I didn't spend the extra for it because it hasn't faded a bit...also my framer told me it was a scam, most glass sold as uv doesn't really even protect from most of the suns rays that could damage it (he has worked in art gallaries over the years, so I trust he's knowledgable), so I personally have never paid for it....just my preference I guess.0 -

thanks mate. i thought it fit nice in the little niche... until the wife finds something else to put there!Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.0 -
It's actually our first framed poster. Since it is a very colorful poster and since the environment it was intended for is colorful as well, we went for a slightly different framing style than the one usually seen for this poster (plus the missus wasn't having any of those brownish frames for this one
).

) and we sent it to his framer's to Dubrovnik, 600km (370 miles) away from Zagreb (which is where we live). My wife then carried it back home on a plane yesterday and they nearly didn't let her on the plane with the poster. But now that it's on the wall in her kitchen we know it was all worth it...

So there you have it - all is well that ends well but it might still be a good idea to call the airline company before the flight and ask what their policy is. Good luck!0
