notes: Ed totally botches the start of 'I Got Shit.' He tells everyone that has to go to school the next day that he'll write them excuse notes (so they can continue to play). A stunning closing with 'Indifference' with the house lights up. A solid show before a smallish crowd.

notes: The evening of this show, PJ's tour bus was held up by thieves.

This was my 1st show as well and i completely disagree. Not in my top 10 or anything but not worst AT ALL. I could never rate a show they play indifference, leaving here, i got shit, blood, daughter/miracles as bad especially my memories of the way they played that night
Of the shows i've seen, I'd have to say hartford '06 was my least favorite. Not that it was bad, but not the level of the other performances i've been lucky to see

Detroit 06 Pearl Jam was on fire, Ed gave an angry 93 like performance so it had it's own uniquness, but the Monday crowd was sleepy, plus the Palace is huge (24,000 cap.) and there were only like 14,000 people in attendence, which gave it a lack of intimacy. Esp. compared with Grand Rapids the previous Friday which the crowd was extremely energetic and the venue was roughly half the size. I heard the show sandwiched in between Detroit and Grand Rapids was pretty energetic too.

This was my first PJ show. At the time I was disappointed at first, but as the set unfolded with Neil I realized how cool it was to see the entire Mirrorball album played plus some other great Neil songs. Pearl Jam did play seven songs so the entire concert was long. I would definitely rate it as the most "unique", but not bad in any way, shape or form.

did all that happen?? I was just smushed into some guy's armpit for a few hours (I'm actually a girl, and a short one to boot). I couldn't hear or see anything, couldn't breathe... I couldn't even identify what song they were playing at points! Plus the band seemed to be at a (somewhat, of course) lower point in the 95-96 range.

I'm sorry you had such a bad show, especially when this holds such an epic spot in my pj memory bank
Ed climbed on rodman's shoulders for alive and then hung upside down

I'm not that tall myself but was at the rail and had great people around me (i'm also from NYC and nothing prepares you for the pit quite as well as NYC subway system/NJ path during rush hour:))

not saying it wasn't easy and after the show i was sopping wet but it was worth it and definitely ranks in my top ten

my vote is for Knoxville. they acted like they didnt want to be there, and turned off a friend of mine on the band. they didnt sound that great either.

in the aimes bros poster book mike said that was the first time in a long time he remembered being booed.
Eddie gave one of the greatest speaches i ever heard from anyone
"we are on the brink of forever" was one of the greatest things i ever herd him say.
They finished the show w/ rockin in the free worild & at the end of the song ed started chanting usa , usa , then threw the mike stand as hard as he could & walked angrily of stage!
EVERYONE SHOULD LISTEN TO THAT SPEECH , UN-FUCKING BELIEVABLE!

correct. Cincy 06 was fucking great! i still need the DVD boot ( hint hint to someone out there )

i even thought the setlist was solid.

as far as bad shows go, they were just off in maui 98 night I . i remember paying 50 bucks for the boot, and being like, "what the fuck" its still fun to listen to though, you can tell ed was just pissed that they were not firing on all cylinders.

Not my favorite at the time. I had gone to the baseballgame earlier and was a little sunstroked by the time I got to the show.

Gorge 2 06 not really bad my most bands standards, just ok by PJ standards.

San Fran 95 definately the worst.

from what i recall it was Bushleaguer - Know Your Rights - RITFW

I was a great show up until this point, which turns it into a great boot.

And a nice version of Patriot too.

I've been to eight shows, and the worst show, except for Roskilde, is SydneyII 06. I had terrible seats and the crowd was sleeping through the entire show. I still enjoyed it though!

LOL says the guy that went to the show from Cincinnati.

I love it when someone will say a show wasn't so good and immediatly you get someone that went to the show to come and tell you how great the energy was like they have some obligation to stick up for the show because they went. I'm not singling out cincybearcat- everyone does it. It's just funny
