I’m not sure I’d call that blocking but still good the chief got the woman home safe! I wanna see the police actually get in between an actual confrontation but I don’t think that will happen
I was listening to NPR yesterday where ICE would call the local police for help and also protestors would call.
Very odd dynamic that the ICE agents would call.

They did point out that certain times the ICE agents would most likely want their account on record so they call in knowing its recorded.

Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Rand Paul (R-Ky.) says he “saw no evidence” to back the claims of senior Trump administration officials that Alex Pretti was attempting to assault law enforcement officers and instead “saw a man that was retreating” when he was shot and killed by federal officers in Minneapolis.

Rand Paul was careful in his interview with Scott Pelley on 60 Minutes yesterday, but also did point out that so far the government has not made the case for their claims of Pretti being an assassin or domestic terrorist. It's so ridiculous that FBI is not doing any investigation in to Renee Good's murder and Blanche is significantly downplaying the investigation in to Pretti's murder almost like he's prepping us all for the nothing they intend to find.
    It's a hopeless situation...
  • even with everything trump has done/will do, never in my wildest dreams did I think he could corrupt the FBI. Just unreal.

The question will be how will the rank and file deal with it? We've already seen some odd resignations.

Now the NYT is breaking a story about Tulsi Gabbard dealing with the 2020 election in GA. Why would the director of Nat'l Intel be involved in that?

It’s concerning, especially as a Georgia citizen. I think they are trying to establish some story that foreign countries are interfering with state elections. Hence, the involvement of CIA.

Thus, paving the way for his recent suggestion that republicans should nationalize control of the elections, not have them run by states as per the constitution.

It’s absolute insanity that any citizen thinks this is all okay.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has ruled that Alex Pretti, the Minneapolis nurse who was shot and killed by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents in Minneapolis last month, died by homicide.

A Nobel Peace Prize nomination for Minneapolis is really a recognition of people power and it’s the first time a whole city has been put forward for the prize.

It reflects a community that has organized, protested peacefully, supported one another, and refused to stay silent when human rights, and civil liberties were at risk. That kind of civic engagement is what nonviolent resistance looks like in practice.

This isn’t about awards it’s about the idea that ordinary people, standing together, can push back against fear, defend their neighbors, and demand accountability from those in power. That’s how democratic values stay alive!
