I dig the inlay. I like the 60's SG's a little better. I'd love it if they would make new one's with the small pearl block inlays and ebony FB's. The SG Supremes would be even cooler if you could get the same config, in a cherry or natural burst and the price tag wasn't astronomical for an SG.
i put new strings on my SG, different brand but same gauge....the action seems to be higher but once i try to lower it, the G string buzzes....plus the sound isnt the same, i dont know what strings were on it before since they were the strings that came with the guitar off ebay

{The patented Magnetic Field Design® pickups use a ceramic bar magnet installed underneath each coil, with soft iron adjustable pole pieces to transfer the magnetic field to the surface of the pickup. By contrast, traditional Alnico type pickups, such as used in the Legacy and George Fullerton models, use nonadjustable Alnico pole pieces leaving the only adjustment being pickup height. The Magnetic Field Design has this adjustment, but further offers individual adjustment of each pole piece, letting the player effectively adjust the output of each string on each pickup. Magnetic Field Design yield about twice the output per wind, making the pickup quieter while allowing a greater overall output. The sound of Magnetic Field pickups is slightly warmer with a broader frequency response. One major Nashville session guitarist remarked that the G&L S-500 with Magnetic Field single coil pickups sounded as balanced and "sweet" as his favorite old vintage Alnico equipped axe. The difference is that the S-500 sounds that good right into his amp without all the EQ tweaking of his mixing console that made his other guitar sound so good. When he ran his S-500 though his studio rig, he was truly amazed at the rich and warm, yet clear and sparkly sound. }
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
this might even make me consider 'trading in' my Champ. Hmmm... nah, not really. I have a feeling the guy is gonna be asking a bit too much anyway. And I like my champ. A lot.
Or should I... hmm... Imagine an Orange AD5 and a Fender Vibro Champ side by side. Bedroom guitar heaven...

cool. I'd like to have a baby orange to carry around.

guy has a bid for 350 euros. If I go over that, he says it's mine. Would it be worth giving up the champ? I'd keep the vibro of course. Would be more diverse... don't ya think?

Can you play it first?
It should be more diverse.

Sure, I can play it first. I suggested trading with the champ, but he doesn't need more amps. He says he migth be interested in guitars and effects. I got a tele and a boss BF-1 for sale, so...
I'm not really in a position to just pay it like that. If I do, I'd have to sell the champ.

Yeah, it's a cool purchase and there are probably less AD5's It's up to you, both are cool amps. Why not play on it a bit and see if you'd love it, if you do, sell the champ. If the orange is not any better to you, keep it.

yeah, my idea is just that an Orange and a Vibro Champ would be more diverse than a champ and a vibro champ. Now there not really that much of a difference.

Anyway, I'll see what he says

those pups look weird though...
Awesome, those are Leo's MFD (Magnetic Field) pickups.
I think I'd swap em for HD VP90's. Cool geetar though.
Probably similar, I can't say at the moment. My guess is that they are an early design of a big fat noiseless P90 like single coil
maybe we can find out at http://www.glguitars.com

I miss you already, I miss you all day
Excellent.
another one, on the more inexpensive side. I love these I'd like to play a few more.
Nice... reverends really do play well... they are really light too which can be weird... but a very resonant guitar for sure.
I dig the natural wood tone on this one.
yes, i know they're crappy guitars when you get right down to it but still....
