1. Rambly Ed is the best Ed.
2. I don't know what "fancy" words you'd be referring to. He's very plain spoken.
3. Good moody Ed is Rambly Ed. I want him to be in a good mood.
4. I don't care how long they play. I'll go and enjoy myself anyway.
5. I don't know how long my feet will take longish shows.#Grievance20250 -

As a PJ fan, would you be ok with a 70 min face melting set or their usual 2.5 hr, sometimes 3 hr sets? I'm undecided because when I think of 70 min face melting sets, it's upbeat bangers which would be insane to hear 70 straight minutes of PJ's heavier stuff, new and old but I think you'd miss out on songs like Present Tense that build into a heavier sound at it's peak but I wouldn't say is a heavier sounding song if that makes sense. I know some will say they'll be happy with whatever PJ decides to do but it'd be interesting what a 70 min PJ set would actually be without factoring in venue and price which is a different animal altogether.0

2. I don't know what "fancy" words you'd be referring to. He's very plain spoken. - it was more in reference to calling a harmonica a chromatic harp and using the word a amalgamation which I've never heard in regular everyday conversation
3. Good moody Ed is Rambly Ed. I want him to be in a good mood. - I do to just I'd prefer a bit less of it but I don't expect it and that's ok, I know what to expect at this point
4. I don't care how long they play. I'll go and enjoy myself anyway. - I sort of agree but the price of a 90 min show shouldn't be the same as a 2.5 hr show
5. I don't know how long my feet will take longish shows. - Yep, my feet are barking loud at most shows nowadays, the joys of getting older, youth is wasted on the youngPost edited by DL136722 onTweeter Center - Aug 29, 2000;Tweeter Center - Aug 30, 2000;Allstate Arena - Oct 09, 2000;Pepsi Arena - Apr 29, 2003;Bryce-Jordan Center - May 03, 2003;Bell Center - Jun 29, 2003;Tweeter Center - Jul 02, 2003;Tweeter Center - Jul 03, 2003;Tweeter Center - Jul 11, 2003;Tweeter Center at the Waterfront - Jul 05, 2003;Tweeter Center at the Waterfront - Jul 06, 2003;Madison Square Garden - Jul 08, 2003;Madison Square Garden - Jul 09, 2003;TD Banknorth Garden - May 24, 2006;TD Banknorth Garden - May 25, 2006;Fleet Center - Sept 28, 2004;Fleet Center - Sept 29, 2004;Pepsi Arena - May 12, 2006 New England Dodge Music Arena - May 13, 2006;Grant Park - Aug 05, 2007;Bonnaroo - Jun 14, 2008;Dodge Music Center - Jun 27, 2008;Tweeter Center - Jun 28, 2008;Tweeter Center - Jun 30, 2008; XL Arena - May 15, 2010;TD Garden - May 17, 2010;Alpine Valley Music Theatre - Sept 03, 2011;Alpine Valley Music Theatre - Sep 04, 2011 Corel Centre - Sep 16, 2005;Colisee Pepsi Arena - Sep 20, 2005; Wrigley Field - July 19, 2013; DCU Center - Oct 15, 2013; DCU Center - Oct 16, 2013; Fenway Park - August 5, 2016; Fenway Park - August 7, 2016; NOS Alive Festival - July 14, 2018; Boston - September 02, 2018; Boston - September 04, 2018; Boston - September 15, 2024; Boston - September 17, 2024

Stone mentioned the setlists in PJ20...something to the effect of suggesting destroying the audience with this song, then this one, etc., and Ed said "nah...let's do these"Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

There was this record store in Darien CT called Johnny's Records where I bought tapes and CDs of live shows of Pearl Jam - circa 1993-1996 or so... I would rewind and listen to the ultra rare moments where Ed actually spoke. It was like, wow listen to that guy! I had a show from San Diego in '93 I think. Also the now infamous Seattle Vs '93 (December) shows, I think I even had a show from the Ten tour in Europe. Wore all those tapes out where he talked.Randall's Island, NY 9/29/1996, Randall's Island, NY 6/8/1997 (Ed and Mike), Jones Beach, NY 8/23/2000, Los Angeles, CA 7/10/2006, Hartford, CT 6/27/2008, Los Angeles, CA 10/6/2009, San Diego, CA 11/21/2013, Los Angeles, CA 11/24/2013, MSG, NY 5/1/2016, Seattle, WA 8/10/2018, Los Angeles, CA 5/6/2022, Los Angeles, CA 5/7/2022, Camden, NJ 9/14/2022, St Paul 8/31/2023, St Paul 9/2/2023, Las Vegas 5/18/24, MSG NY 9/3/24, Philadelphia PA 9/9/24, Ohana CA 9/27/24, Atlanta, GA 4/29/25, Pittsburgh, PA 5/16/25, Pittsburgh, PA 5/18/250 -
