I hope they ditch the screen, and go back to their traditional seating behind the stage.nicknyr15 said:
I know I’m prob in the minority but the DM tour was my least favorite ever. Shame because the album is incredible. The setlists were overly formulaic to me and I couldn’t stand the video screen. It was awful with terrible graphics. I’ll always prefer them surrounded by fans. If the sets get even more static than the DM tour, it will be very upsetting.just_one said:im more interested if they are gonna continue to shuffle the setlists like they used to with matt but my gut feeling say eddie wont allow for them to become boring and the setlists will continue to shuffle0 -

Im not sure you are in the minority. I couldnt agree more with everything you said. Indy was my least favorite show ive attended (by a million miles). I am very interested in seeing who the drummer is because I think it has a huge factor on what this band is moving forward.nicknyr15 said:

To be fair, they couldn't have been surrounded by fans there anyway because it's an amphitheater. But yeah, for some reason, that wasn't my favorite show either. Which sucked, because I was really pumped about that one in particular. I know a lot of people raved about how awesome the visuals were on the DM tour. But I never thought they were really that great compared to a lot of bands I see. And I think a big part of the problem with the formulaic sets stems from the shorter setlists. When you're trying to promote a new album and play all your standards, it doesn't leave a lot of room for much else. And I've said this before, but we definitely don't need RITFW or Baba at every fucking show.Abe Froman said:

Paul i could also care less who the next drummer is. Also bring back seats on the floor, sell behind the stage and play some shows!!!I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

I want a drummer with a lot of energy, that can play the entire catalog, and who wants to tour. Insert that person into the lineup and let's go.0
-
My top priority is more live shows. I just want to see them play.
The drummer is important for longevity: someone they gel with, that energizes them, that they actually like and excited to work and tour with.#Grievance20250 -
I just want new merchandise. I don't really care about live shows or new music. I'm still waiting for that elusive Pearl Jam Oven Mitt and then my life is complete.Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.0

Now you're speaking my language. The seats behind the stage are honestly great seats and they definitely bring a different energy than the screen does.mcgruff10 said:Paul i could also care less who the next drummer is. Also bring back seats on the floor, sell behind the stage and play some shows!!!
Let's go back to seats on the floor. In my ideal world, each person would get to pick one show where they get priority for tickets. Among the fans whose names are drawn in the lottery for that show, a second lottery determines who sits in the first 5 rows, then seating goes by seniority after that. It would allow people who otherwise never get the opportunity to get close to have a chance to be up front. And being able to declare one show as your priority would mean that people are less likely to get shut out completely for 10C ticketing.First show: Mansfield N1 1998
Last show: Pittsburgh N2 2025

There are already seats on the floor. They are just behind the pit. The pit is way too much fun to get rid of.MB30816 said:

I am talking about the pit--I would prefer that it be seats instead. It might be fun for you, but it is not fun or even feasible for everyone.GlowGirl said:

I love Matt and think he deserves his place in the pantheon of true greats but the names bandied about definitely include people on the same level. Just may be stylistically different. Danny Carey playing YYZ with Rush at the Taylor tribute comes to mind. Same level as Neil (yes that good). The versatility needed to play every drummer's parts is probably the biggest thing. So different all of them.RatherStarved said:The next drummer will not be as good as Matt but whatever one level below Matt is, I am sure any number of options would be roughly the same and the average listener would not know the difference. So yeah, l am not overly fussed with who they choose - I’m sure it will be someone competent and that’s all we need for some shows.Stars are suns to other people.

Seats on the floor were fun as hell. I would say there was more energy at the seated shows. Probably because people weren’t tired from lining up for daysGlowGirl said:

The biggest problem with 10c tix purchasing is so many members are putting in for shows that they have no intention of attending. Only to use as trade assets to upgrade for other shows or take care of friends.MB30816 said:

meanwhile the poor 10c member in citie-x that just wants to go to their home town show probably gets fucked.0 -
And neither are you. The band is going to do what works best for them, so it's probably all pointless to discuss this anyway.Brannigans law said:
