heard him the same way when listening in my car. it sounded like even they might not yet know exactly who would be drumming for the show yet.juliefer said:
That's how I read it too! I haven't seen anyone else say that until now (though I haven't spend much time in the drummer thread or anywhere looking for opinions.)pmcgrath5 said:I know I’m in minority based on other posts I just don’t interpret what Stone said as he 100% confirmed they have a full time drummer. He loves the mystery of no one knowing who will be playing drums at Ohana. Maybe Mike doesn’t know either based on his interviews lol. deadline?
They reveal the final 8 bands bit by bit online this week, unless something else shows up here.Seems like first show with new drummer is Ohana and IF we are fortunate to get anymore shows this year it would be in October after Ohana.
With that being said, I would love for you to tell us you have insider information and tell us what weeks we should request vacation for.To me Ohana + US tour 2026 would be no surprise.
Otherwise they would show up live and disappear right after. The best/only reason for that move could be working 100% on a new album all the time until the end of the year. I wouldn’t bet on that scenario. The whole time after Ohana should be good for some live dates somewhere 2026.Post edited by D-Day on0 -

I may be the only person here who isnt remotely interested or excited about who the next drummer may be.
I am confident the band will only go with someone they are comfortable with and can play the back catalogue perfectly well. In my view thats all we need and all we can ask for.
For me, as long as it gets the band back on the stage - im all good whoever it is.

I wouldn't say I'm uninterested, but I'm not overly invested in the choice. Like you, I'm confident the band will pick the right guy for them and that's all that matters to me.1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh 20 -
im more interested if they are gonna continue to shuffle the setlists like they used to with matt but my gut feeling say eddie wont allow for them to become boring and the setlists will continue to shuffle

I just want to see them again. Live

I'm interested because it will signal what the plan looks like going forward. Different implications if they announce a new full time member vs. announcing a touring drummer vs. announcing a one-off drummer for Ohana, etc.0

This x1000 - I literally could not care less who is behind the drum kit.pdalowsky said:I may be the only person here who isnt remotely interested or excited about who the next drummer may be.

I know I’m prob in the minority but the DM tour was my least favorite ever. Shame because the album is incredible. The setlists were overly formulaic to me and I couldn’t stand the video screen. It was awful with terrible graphics. I’ll always prefer them surrounded by fans. If the sets get even more static than the DM tour, it will be very upsetting.just_one said:im more interested if they are gonna continue to shuffle the setlists like they used to with matt but my gut feeling say eddie wont allow for them to become boring and the setlists will continue to shuffle

The next drummer will not be as good as Matt but whatever one level below Matt is, I am sure any number of options would be roughly the same and the average listener would not know the difference. So yeah, l am not overly fussed with who they choose - I’m sure it will be someone competent and that’s all we need for some shows.
