Two giant drunk guys got into the Pit without wristbands and stood right in front of me during the encore set, only to just talk to each other (I think they were professing their love for each other) and seemingly not listen to the music. What's the point of going to a show to act like that? Just go to a bar instead....anyway, one of them bent over and I thought he was about to vomit only for the other guy to jump on his shoulders piggy back style. Security came in to intervene...but this is truly the only complaint I have about an absolutely unforgettable night otherwise. This was my first show in the GA Pit (THANK YOU TEN CLUB!!) and I brought my wife's uncle with me for his first PJ show ever. Excellent set with the right blend of hits (for casual's like my wife's Uncle) and deep cuts (for die hards like me). Enjoy night 2 whoever is attending!

Stick to water Or better yet stay home.  How bout act like an adult and try not to ruin everyone else’s time.  Or don’t act like an ass who never gets out.  There’s several alternatives to acting like a 12th grader.

Yup it’s embarrassing. Drunk or high idiot  next to my daughter was weird as hell and she would switch with me cause worried about drama.

Worst was when she watched him use phone to zoom in on some lady’s chest.

As an older man I just can’t believe how some men still act around women.  It’s truly disgusting.  Do men like this not have women in their life?  Do they not think about other men being that terrible to women they know?  Society sucks sometimes,

hope everyone has a great show tonight

    Some thoughts about Friday:

    • Footsteps is such a cool opener. Only my 2nd team seeing it I think.
    • 3 new songs - Sleight of Hand, Grievance and Got To Give. For my 18th show, that's pretty good.
    • I was chatting with the guys next to me. Father & son. Son's first show - he was 20. They were locals. They were pretty cool but then sitting down for some of the good deep cuts which was disappointing. I told them this was a dream show but the dad was like "meh it was okay" - I have no idea what else he could have wanted. He said he wanted to see Alone. Jeez that's very rare dude. Whatever.
    • People in Pittsburgh all liked my Gritty Pearl Jam shirt. They're probably not harboring the Flyers resentment like the old days. :(
    • They ran through all the hits & DM songs they always play and it was kind of getting exciting for the "rarities" section.
    • I was really shocked to see Sleight of Hand. I thought I'd never see that song. Severed Hand is so awesome live. When they played Upper Hand, no, I did not realize that it was the "hand trilogy." lol
    • Yeah, hardly anyone around me recognized My City Of Ruins. I've actually now seen them do that song twice.
    • My section was really close to the stage. Not a 10C section, and these people all are sitting for tons of songs. I don't know what else they could want. Heard people saying "they played a little too much of the "new stuff"" - if you don't know Footsteps, perhaps the band's oldest song, that's a you problem dude. Sleight of Hand & Grievance are 25-year old songs. Hardly new.
    • Oh yeah, Grievance. Just a killer request. Way to come through in the clutch! I was watching the band and crew scramble for the right guitars. Only at a Pearl Jam Show!
    • The It's Okay was really awesome. Basically a full version, really can't even call it a tag. I don't remember seeing It's Okay before - it was a dream.
    • Really great encore - SOLAT, Comatose, nice job there. Was it War Pigs at end of Alive? I didn't notice it - oh well.
    • Can't wait for tonight!

Yeah put a damper on it for a bit and brought her to tears (she’s 17)….but she recovered. It was her 11th PJ show and she has met so many awesome people I think the negativity won’t last long. But damn man, I can’t believe how awful some dude are.  I would have had a worse concert cause I’d have handled it different

Honestly I’m a bit surprised at the love for this show. I thought it was fine, but also having been to Raleigh N1 it was way too similar. I was honestly surprised by this show. Still fun, but worst of my 4 shows this tour. So thankful for grievance, comatose and Man of the hour though.

This show was a total banger. It felt like old times, no dud and all smiles. I am so happy we got to see it. I cried a bit during Sleight of Hand, it is one of my favorites and just generally so beautiful. Goosebumps of happiness would not stop for the entirety of the show. We were in a section we have never been at, in the 100s right behind the sound board. These seats were amazing, you could watch without turning your head or body the entire time, and it was very cool to watch the visuals this way. Sound was spectacular there too.

I mean, everything about this show was perfection. They played fucking Comatose. I couldn't stop screaming.
The hand trilogy (first time ever?).

And then the unbelievable happened. Ed asked ME to pick a song. Wut. Wut. Wut. Without hesitation - Grievance. It was a fucking MOMENT. And I got a pick and a fist bump. How. How. How.

Nothing will ever top that. I am still digesting.
I am hoping they will have a N1 shirt in the merch tent tomorrow because you bet I really want to commemorate this event now.

    And they played Grievance perfectly.

I don't see much similarity in Raleigh N1 other than they played 2 steps of the Hand trilogy.

I was yelling Got To Give from far away but they ended up playing that anyway. You nailed it. Literally the perfect song.
